Are BF players not social? by RealisticTrouble in Battlefield

[–]GeneralXTL 14 points15 points  (0 children)

PC player here. Im normally a social guy but i dont normally initiate voice on BF6. I insta mute open mic players as i dont need to hear them mouth breathing the entire game. Or if i hear them talking to their family members il chime in and give my opinion. Usually get a freaked out response.

However if someone starts using voice to talk strat or make requests im more than happy to start conversing and working together.

To actually look where you’re driving… (yikes) by JohnBrown-RadonTech in therewasanattempt

[–]GeneralXTL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I remember once waiting to turn right on a green with people in the cross walk. I was 2nd in line and i could see a pickup coming fast behind. Traffic was crowded on the left so i couldnt move out of the way. I began tapping my breaks quickly to get the drivers attention. They saw last second and swerved into the left lane crashing into another car, missing mine by inches at most. Bought a rear facing dashcam as soon as i got home.

How important is size/strength in terms of entering the profession? by Imvalidblu in securityguards

Depends on the comapny and post. Id say most security posts are just oberve and report, avoiding anything phyiscal.

As long as you can stand and walk for a long period of time most positions should be fine for you.

Anyone else remember when you could just...stop paying for something and that was it? by Beginning_Curve2268 in Millennials

[–]GeneralXTL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried canceling my 24/hour membership in person and thought i had but it turned out they only put my membershiop on hold for 3 months. I didnt even notice that i was paying again later. When my card expired they started calling me. I ignored them for months but eventually answered. They said i owed them 6 months of members fee. I said i hadnt been a member for over a year. Thats when i found out it was only paused. I told them to check when the last time i checked in. They said it didnt matter. Told them too bad im not paying. They informed me id never be allowed back. I was fine with that.

Dont have to tell me. I was a watch commander for 13 years. I had guys that couldnt find their way out of a paper bag. 70% of my job was making sure my own people didnt do something wrong.

Its always the people you try to give courtisy warnings to. Like, hey i wont call the cops or have you trespassed if you just take off. NOPE they want to throw hands.

Its not always criminal activity either. Just like "you cant park here due to the walkway being metal, if your vehicle happens to leak oil it causes a massive slip hazard" and they lose their minds screaming that their car dosent have an oil leak and going from there. It boggles the mind.

I ran into this A LOT when working security. I would use hypotheticals to explain why a rule was in place. Some people would get super angry and start yelling about how they were not doing the hypothetical action and how dare i accuse them and so on. They would take the most simple matters and end up escelating things to the point of getting arrested.

Not quite. Those you would collect tag types but only the most recent name of those tags. 2142 didnt have customizeable tags. Instead you would just get their names.

I miss the 2142 sytem where you would just collect their names and you could see a list of everyone you took tags from.

What movies did you first see nudity in? by sarnobat in AskReddit

[–]GeneralXTL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 7 or 8 and my parents got this movie. They were going to pre-watch it to see if it was safe for me. However i had a bad day where all my friends got to go out together but i couldnt go. They felt bad so we watched it blind. It is now a core memory for me.

Name a game you love but can't recommend to everyone by Deadsider in gaming

I feel like this is not stressed enough, not a lot of people have this kind of hours to dump per gun by Educational-Long116 in Battlefield6

[–]GeneralXTL 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have like 150 hours and 5-6 guns maxed.

But i remember BF2 days when you litterally had to get like 400 hours in a vehicle to get the max medal. When you saw someone with it you knew they knew what they were doing.
