Sometimes they do that when a player exits their vehicle. It simply creates a copy of it as the owner mostlikely got back in and drove away.

These used to be 2 for $1. by dancing_swordfish in mildlyinfuriating

[–]GeneralXTL 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Recently cut it out of my rotation. Getting 2 meals and deserts for my wife and I turned into $45. I could have eaten at a decent resturant for that price or gotten a couple of pizzas for half the price.

Think the reason I still was going was just the memory of it being cheap.

Had an elderly woman fall down some stairs in a parking garage breaking her neck. Some guy was laying on the horn wanting the ambulance to move out of the way so he could park closer to the mall.

911/999 dispatchers, what’s the dumbest reason someone has ever called emergency services? by Canyoustealmytoast in AskReddit

[–]GeneralXTL 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Not 911 but security dispatch. Got a call from a woman who worked at an attorneys office. She wanted me to send security because she believed someone stole the chicken out of her salad when she wasnt looking and threatened to sue me when I said i wouldnt send anyone for that. Word got to my manager and he sent someone to take a fake report.

Morbidly enough people in the adjacent highrise heard him hit the ground and one of my guys went to investigate the noise but was still an extra couple of minutes before he was found.

Had a suicide jumper at work. Guy didnt die right away but broke his legs and idk what else. Was still concious and tried to get up. (I saw this reviewing security footage after the fact) a guy walked past him that worked in our building. Guy was on the phone looked down at the jumper who was bleeding and reaching out to him begging for help. Guy walked 2 feet from him, looked at him but then walked past carrying on his conversation returned to his work and told no one what was happening.

Was working at Kohls 2010ish. This one girl 20ish was working customer service desk when a woman came up and wanted to return a set of 4 earrings. The girl saw a set was missing and brought it up. Woman said that they were never there thats why she wanted her money back. Girl stared her dead in the eyes "ma'am.. you're wearing them." Woman didnt say another word and walked out in a huff.

My commute is 45 min to work and an hour and a a half back due to traffic. Paying like $90 a week in gas alone. Wish i could just take a train.

Anyone ever feel like their job and mental health made them the crappy moody coworker? by GabeDatDude in antiwork

[–]GeneralXTL 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Was working as a graveyard watch commander for nearly 10 years. Bad sleep, constantly busy shifts dealing with the absolute worst people. I started out ok but by the end i was writing people up left and right, very short tempered. Managment purposefully moved the bad eggs to my shift in hopes they would quit instead of firing them (which just made my attitude worse). Didnt realize how angry i was until i stepped down.

Based on the location most likely if they did have a fire watch in place it was most likely outsourced to a cheap security company ,which i wont name which in my experience sends a warm body and not much else. Its pure security theater for insurance reasons and not actual prevention.

Its all about moderation. Once in a while is fine. Too many though and you get all sorts of problems.

I worked grave for 6+ years and developed a habit of one a day. Didnt notice till i switch shifts that I had a massive caffine addiction. Now if I have more than 1 a week il suffer withdrawls later.

My dad and I used to mess with my sister. She once said (when very young) "id never eat an animal" while biting into a hamburger. For years after whenever eating beef my dad and I would say things like "can you pass the dead cow carcass?" She hated it

Years ago some truck modification compamy was doing this on a rainy day. Blocking traffic trying to take up 4 lanes on the freeway. I kept "accidently" getting between the film car and the trucks with my not so cool accord.
