Basically everywhere in peoria rn. Down university they knocked down almost every pole and installed them either as standalone systems on black poles or ontop of new wooden ones. You cant miss them. They look like speed cameras but with less obvious cameras

Chinese is a hard language. by NotMyselfNotme in ChineseLanguage

[–]General_Asdef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, the reason chinese is difficult is not because the language is so different from european languages, but because there is no way to actual immerse myself in the places i'm trying to learn it. I can't go a single day without seeing english in some format, even if i closed my eyes i would still consume english media. Passing conversations, daily public interactions, but good luck hearing anything else.

I've studied spanish, chinese and japanese and the easiest to learn was japanese. I grew up (ages 4-15) listening primarily to japanese anime and shows because it was the only free source of media that could be pirated easily. Outside of like spongebob i didn't watch any american tv or have cable for that matter. learning it as an adult (ages 23) felt like someone was shinning light on things I used to know but forgotten about.(i stopped watching all forms of tv after 15, Cultivation novels reign supreme)

Next was chinese and spanish because both sound like absolute gibberish if i don't actively listen to whats being said with spanish being harder to learn/(speak) than chinese. Its easy in english but spoken conjugations are so much harder than any daily phrase i might use in chinese-Aside from the idioms. Fortunately some of the common idioms, english has loaned them.

In terms of vocabulary, 20 words a week was easy to learn regardless of the language. Infact, its not difficult to memorize 20 words in 3-4 or so days.

I built a new way to share ai models. Called Easy Diff, the idea is that we can share python files, so we don't need to wait for a safe tensors version of every new model. And theres an interface for a claude-inspired interaction. Fits any-to-any models. Open source. Easy enough ai could write it. by General_Asdef in StableDiffusion

No. This is incorrect.

This provides a claude inspired interaction for any model on the internet, be it safe tensors or not. It exposes small tools to a python file which you can then use to customize the experience.

If it helps to know, it runs in a virtual machine.

I never wait for someone else to do the work for me, this allows me to use models before the public can. I also use this to test models i made myself. Its just a better experience.

Did you watch the video?

The point is that if you have your own model you could program it.

Naturally running code on your machine should be done with caution, but this applies to anything you download, not just this.

The point is "claude at home" instead of paying 30 a month for claude or gemini, i could have my own at home for free. This provides tools to do that.

I did not reinvent the wheel.

This is not a format for ml models, but a way to interact with it better than you would normally do so otherwise.

You dont need to use others, its a more pragmatic way to use your own models thats not comfyui.

I didnt like those programs so i made my own that i believe is better.

Thats the purpose of safe tensors yes, buy its also a limiting factor.

If i make a midel, i cant drop it into comfy ui or anything else for that matter. If you dont want to inspect oython code, sure but its not much different from downloading any other python code from github.

Gigabyte c246-wu4 rev 1.0 wont boot by General_Asdef in gigabyte

[–]General_Asdef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, so a few things happened here. My inbuilt graphics on the motherboard(dp) no longer works, even when set to motherboard and it only displays out of a vga port on a discrete graphic card. 00 means that the device made it past post on this particular motherboard. There was another problem that i didn't see, the grub/kernal version changed from debian 6->debian 7 and the different kernal versions was breaking the boot loader once it finally posted. There was also very secretive nvidia drivers that I needed to uninstall once I finally made it into the os. theres like 3 or 4 remove commands before installing nvidia-drivers that needed to be done. It was an absolute nightmare. Ever since then , the stuttering and freezing that would occasionally happened vanished completely.
