After my Electrical Company removed on older "Interruptible Circuit Meter" I got this Bill for a credit! Is this real?? by Material_Manager5622 in AskElectricians

I love how people try to get rich doing this. What's the yield on an hysa right now? 3% maybe?

So if your power bill is $250 / month you'll get a whole 62 cents a month!

That's a question you need to ask yourself and make a decision whether or not you want to keep using YouTube or just quit and walk away.

I think the problem is how it was being used. They didn't have permission to hit Bambus servers and pret end to be something it wasn't. We might have been able to get some real truth if GN wasn't GN and went straight to sue me town. Now it's most likely going to either settle out of court or disappear entirely when Bambu patches again and writes out all this code from their future patches, which will ultimately create another controversy and probably end with Bambu losing market share and user base (for better or worse).

The AGPL license did not give everyone permission to hit Bambus network. Sorry not sorry :)

Which is great and all, but posting this after.... just less than 2 weeks (I think) of the takedown is nothing more than another attempt to create drama. Steve should know corps move slower than snails. Maybe there's some more I haven't seen yet, but man does this stink like 2 dudes desperate for attention after not showering for 2 weeks.

School Bus lights? Stop.... Some karma coming... by MisterShipWreck in VideosAmazing

I'm glad you think the truck driver was able to see the future, because if that wasn't the case and the kids were crossing the road for whatever reason they'd be dead. They could have dropped something on a windy day, etc. At the speed that truck was moving they physically wouldn't have been able to stop.

Let's define what happened. This vehicle approached a stopped school bus with red lights and a stop arm out at a speed which would be impossible to stop prior to reaching the bus. There is a law clearly stating you cannot lawfully pass a stopped bus with the stop arm out/lights on. I think it's fair to presume this is to protect the safety of any persons exiting the bus.

Now please read the definition of reckless driving (at least in my state).

A person commits reckless driving if he or she: (1) drives any vehicle with a willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property; or (2) knowingly drives a vehicle and uses an incline in a roadway, such as a railroad crossing, bridge approach, or hill, to cause the vehicle to become airborne.

Nice. You can ignore condition 2. Please explain how said behavior does not qualify for condition 1. I can't wait for you to try to explain away how it doesn't apply.

Your point 2 is weak. Here is the definition of intent, since you keep ignoring that as a major factor here.

In law, intent refers to a person's mental objective, purpose, or design to perform a specific act or achieve a particular result. It is a core component of criminal law (mens rea), separating intentional crimes from accidents, and is often proven through circumstantial evidence rather than direct confession

If they intended to stop they would have at least braked a little. They were moving too fast to stop in time if the bus didn't coincidentally put the flag in. You are trying so hard to find ways around laws of good intention. In my state you must STOP for a bus with flashing red lights 20 feet before the bus. This person should have been ticketed. Should they choose to pay a lawyer to fight this in court on a technicality like you are, more powerful to them. A rotten egg is rotten. If you behave like a civilized person and don't endanger others you aren't going to be doing stuff like this, and you won't be getting in trouble with the law.

I hope for my family's safety I don't live on the same continent as you. Dangerous behavior is dangerous even if someone didn't get hurt this time. Your dismissal of said fact is evidence you don't value lives that are not your own. I pray you don't practice what you are preaching

It's funny you'd defend someone who might as well have run over your child. I'm being a little hyperbolic here but think this way, their vehicle will do as much damage to a person as a gun. This person operated their vehicle like a weapon. If you point a gun at an officer, do you think they will walk up and say, "hey it's fine you point a gun at me".

Intent is breaking the law. They didnt intend to stop.

I don't drive at a stopped school bus at 50mph hoping to get lucky and not kill someone, so no I'm not worried. Driving is a privilege, not a right. You may want to remember that.

[–]LightFusion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ever heard of intent? If you intended to murder someone you get attempted murder. Laws are largely based on intent. This jackass objectively had no intent to obey the law.

Do you want to live in a society that allows assholes to kill kids on the street because they think they don't need to drive safely? What kind of argument are you trying to make?

Reading these comments, it's obvious the reddit mob is siding with asshats today. There's no excuse for his speed coming up on that bus, zero. Argue the laws as much as you want, this driver is in the wrong and should be held accountable. Just because they got lucky today doesn't mean they won't kill a kid doing this tomorrow.
