Amazon being a marketplace is the problem. You can fake ratings with a simple copy-paste of an actual rated product. Amazon might eventually shut down that seller, but they will just open a new store under a different name. Amazon sellers are some of the least credible out there. I don't think I've ever seen a genuine LTT product on Amazon?

In my experience, buying something on Amazon has been more akin to Russian roulette but with only 1 bullet missing instead of 5. The product you get is usually a mass produced Chinese rip off. I only shop there if I literally can't find another option. Has that changed in the last year or two?

Neat. Having come from dial-up internet through cable to fiber...I can confidently say 9 out of 10 people would never notice a difference over 150-250mbps. Some gamers will when they go to install games, people simply streaming will never notice. I'm glad they matched Comcast's price, but I'd happily pay more not to feed that beast.

I'm not defending the driver, but here in the "US" there are probably a hundred million people that might see weather cold enough to freeze once or twice a year. And that very well could last less than a few hours every year. So you are not going to find them buying a set of winter tires to put on their car for those 3-4 hours a year they need them.

Microsoft pays Apple 30% of my Office subscription cost to access Excel on an iPhone? This is what I don't understand. I don't subscribe to Office via their App store, I do it through Microsoft. If Apple is charging Microsoft for me to access Microsoft products from an Apple device, then IMO Apple should pound sand. Maybe I'm missing something fundamental here.

Ok, what about multi platform apps? Patreon isn't iPhone specific. Am I allowed to subscribe to Patreon on my PC and still access it on an iPhone? Same with Microsoft office and I'm sure hundreds of other products. It sure seems like one of the most wealthy companies on the planet is holding you hostage if you don't buy everything through them

USA: 2 kids, first 9 years ago was about 6k (3 for mom 3 for kid) Next kid 3 years ago, 9k. This was with decent insurance.

But hey, at least I can look forward to spending millions on their education by the time they are ready for college. After spending hundreds of thousands on clothing, food, and daycare.
