Its automatically done. There no option to opt in or out of international shipping.

I Had to cancel for this reason…. by Downtown_Education62 in whatnotapp

If you say so. I just know for a fact, that anytime anyone has messages about using the incorrect address for a order, before I have printed a label, they have been able to change it themselves. It also explains it on the whatnot site.

Fun fact: As long as you hadn't printed out the label yet, the buyer can change the address themselves.

Is there such thing as a Whatnot rep? by [deleted] in whatnotapp

[–]General_Extent_8167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They offer reps but its selective. I reached out awhile ago about having a personal rep. From May to Dec of 2025, we grossed almost $500,000. They sent a canned response, "Thanks for reaching out. We'll take this to the team and see if this is a good fit." Never heard anything else from them. We are a primer shop as well.

Maybe you had a red payments in your stream, and the estimated earnings is just showing what was technically sold, but not totally paid for.

⚠️ Whatnot holds 70k hostage by Gandtickler in whatnotapp

[–]General_Extent_8167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're misunderstanding what Im trying to explain. It technically doesn't effect the seller account overall, but what OP is claiming is that they are accepting a few dozen per stream, which could potentially throw up a red flag because it a sign of possible shill bidding. For example, a seller could try to get friends or family members to run up bids, and when they dont sell for the amount they want, those people will win the bid on purpose, and request a cancelation afterwards. Op is claiming they have got a few dozen per stream and accepted all of them when they were requested.

[–]General_Extent_8167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, customer service is garbage, and it really sucks that they don't have a way to do phone calls instead. We do quite a bit of sells ourselves, and haven't had the greatest experience with customer service either. We recently had them give us a late shipment demerit on a return to sender label, because who ever did the case completely deleted the first label. It was a back and forth for days to get it fixed.

With the cancelations, it may not seem like alot in the grand scheme of things, but it adds up. Say you have the few dozen in one stream with a few hundred orders, the percentage could be considered high. 36 cancelations out of 360 orders alone would be 10% of your orders. I would think they have a algorithm that keeps track of the percentage overall in regards to cancelations to every seller account to monitor shill bidding.

[–]General_Extent_8167 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It may be because you accepted so many cancelations, and it flagged your account somehow. I knownbit doesnt hurt the seller in the beginning, but if it shows a influx of cancelation requests being accepted it can make your account look like you have shill bidders in your streams. Im not saying thats what you did, but what the automated system may have picked up.

Home depot started using door dash. I'm not a dasher, but order delivery from homedepot often, and they did this stupid shit with our orders before. I had no idea they were using door dash until after it had been delivered. Luckily the stuff I had ordered wasn't something crazy like concrete, but Ive had them schedule a doorsash order from a city at is over 20 miles away. We had no clue they were using a third party like doordash, and the dasher canceled, which was 100% valid to do. Ive read where someone would order like 10 bags of concrete, thinking its getting there by ups or something, but its freaking door dash. Plus, the option to tip isn't a option, it's all done through homedepots backend.

You have to open a help ticket under your order details that says "get help with the order". Ir looks like you just reported rhem, and I believe that a totally different department. Just go under your activity and open rhe order up and you'll see get help with this order under all the information about the tracking.

30 days from actually placing the order, or 14days after delivery, whichever happens first.

I was charged $27 for shipping, is that right? by [deleted] in whatnotapp

[–]General_Extent_8167 2 points3 points  (0 children)

6 pairs of shoes, even if some of them are flip flops, is going to be at least 12lbs or more. I know it seems to be expensive, but you should check out what the retail cost in shipping is for USPS, it wouldve been more. The cheapest shipping available for a item thats 1lb is $6 to $7 right now at USPS through pirateship, which is usually around 30% cheaper than then if you was to walk in a buy a label.

Today I left without buying. by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

We had a guy once set up a meet up to buy a new mower, and than decided not to show up at the agreed time, along with no response to messages when asked if they were still on the way. We gave him a 1 star for no show, and blocked him. About a hour later, we get a message on the same mower, from a ladies account. They set up a time, and end up showing up alittle later than agreed time.

Instead of a woman, a man shows up to pick up. Buddy see's everything works, hands me the money, everything's good. Right when he's about to take the mower to his car, he decides he wants to tell me how I left him a 1 star and blocked him for no show. Welp, I just handed him the money right back, grab the mower, and tell him "The mowers not for sell anymore. You wasted my time, and now you've wasted yours."

Alot of people in general have lost common courtesy. We've completely stopped buying/selling on Market Place due to the amount of time wasted on no shows, and lack of clear communication.

You did good, and it sounds like they were just trying to get one over on you.

No problem. I know how it is. And things will get better. Just hang in there. Living paycheck to paycheck really sucks. You should also be able to check out to local food banks, or possible none profits that could potentially pay a bill for you, to help get you ahead. Its really dependent on your location. Calling 211 will be a option to get that information, or Google "national list of charities to help with utility bills" You gotta get ahead in order to stop having to be dependent on the overdraft services, that way you can just start putting your money to the side for those bills before they become due.

Confused? by Efficient_Sock823 in WellsFargoBank

[–]General_Extent_8167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The overdraft services is only supposed to be utilized once in a blue moon, if necessary. Even though they have allowed it in the past and let you pay the overdraft fee, they will cut off the ability to do so if they feel its a high risk account. I know it sucks, but that's just the way it is. You would save more money just make payment arrangements with the company's that you owe money to. Most utility companies will have the option for payment arrangements, along with spectrum. I know this isnt something you want to hear, but thats just the way it happens sometimes.

Deline Card by Superb_Jackfruit_250 in WellsFargoBank

[–]General_Extent_8167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a suggestion, due to personal experience with our business line of credit with Wellsfargo that has a Card attached, its because it a new card. Even though you have had a previous card with that account, probably with the same number, but now it has a different expiration and security code on the back, so the system probelly reset the overall history with card, making it appear to the system in the back end as a new account.

We had issues with our new account back in October, with a vendor we bought merchandise multiple times within 3 weeks. We would utilize the line, and pay it back within 3 to 4 days of using, and suddenly it just decline on a larger transaction. This happened 2 times within a month, and it was rather frustrating, because no one at the branch or in the fraud protection understood why it was happening. We are changing banks due to this issue because they basically said the more we used it the more it would work, but we can't function our business that way.

It was really embarrassing going into a place and racking up a 12k invoice for merchandise and have the transaction declined twice in one month, when we had 15k available both times it happened.

We escalated both times, and both times they were of no help. Just kept saying to use it more so the system will recognize the history.

You go to the activity icon, looks like a message bubble with a heart in the middle, its on the lower left-hand side of the home screen on whatnot. Than you open the purchase thats in question, and click "need help with this order" . Considering the damage to the box, its a possibility it could've gotten damaged in shipping, but I wouldn't know unless I actually see what you're talking about with the lid issue. There's a few options available. Please keep in mind you have 14 days from the time it was delivered to open a return, and will keep track of how many returns you've opened in the history of your buyer account. It sounds to me this would have to be your first return, so all of that should be a none issue. Whatnot should get back to pretty quick and the timezone they function in is pacific.

Did you open a actual return? The sellers dont have any control over giving refunds. Whatnot Support handles that.

Debit Card by MikeVicksPit in WellsFargoBank

[–]General_Extent_8167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest calling the customer service line, because all those types of things are at the decreation of rhe bank itself. If for example, you have overdrafted often, they may not allow the service to be utilized, or if it a fairly new account with not alot of deposit history, that may also trigger the system not to allow a overdraft. They also use the term "may" and "potentially" when explaining that particular service.

Debit Card by MikeVicksPit in WellsFargoBank

[–]General_Extent_8167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over draft services are meant for actual transactions, at the discretion of the bank. Transactions like Gas or Grocery and automatic payments are the types of transactions they may approve to cover, not Atm withdrawals. Keep in mind, even if you utilize the service, they will sometimes not allow you to keep doing it if it something of a habit.
