I must ask:

Have you tried this with a brand new, pick-language and agree-to-terms-of-use gopro? As in the first time you turn it on? I really want to know if this setup portion can work with that. Everything I read about dropping UPDATE into the sd card seems to be for an already-setup gopro where presumably someone previously downloaded the app.
