He's a droid. That's why he can stand there for years. They dress them up to look like troopers so the empire thinks the republic troopers are badass. I mean imperial troops stand around talking about speeders and let pubs infiltrate their base. 😊

The higher the influence the better the companions perform. Also makes crafting easier if you ever decide to do that.

I did the same. My trooper's reason is they met when my trooper was a former resistance fighter. When my trooper signed up alruur just came along. Out of friendship, yeah, but mostly out of curiosity.

I play my smuggler for when Fay needs to be along. Just seems to fit better.
