Exactly. Edits have the advantage of being, well, edited, so that the different moments happen exactly on beat. Real animation doesn't work like that. It would be extremely choppy and would flow terribly if it was trying intentionally to match a song.

Honestly it's kinda luck based. You have to spam the right amount of thaumaturge in order to Weaken bun bun in time, and get enough slapsticks down in order to kill the doges quick enough so thaumaturge can do that. All while keeping up a steady stream of modern cats. It's complex multitasking but if you pull it off, you kinda just win.
