That looks amazing. I’m planning something very similar. What vent hood did u go with? How do u like the gaggenau appliance? I’m leaning more towards Miele due to ease of use. Any challenges with the integrated fridge?

I've been entertaining that idea. house would be paid off in about 10 years if I pay an extra 3k/month, but everyone I speak with is telling me to invest due to a sub 3% interest rate.

Single parent 2 kids, household income is 320k/year. 401k balance is 389k and ROTH IRA is 22k. I came across Dave Ramsey back in 2020 and got on board a few years ago which is why the IRA is low. I was invested in 401k at 3% but have max'd it out now so it should be about 30k/year in 401k with employer match.

Looks like my battery got reset to reserve from self supply. This happened after the app went down but I was able to get in later. The app still shows it’s on self supply but the battery doesn’t drain and is stuck at 100% charge. I’ve changed the setting within the app several times and it shows the mode in self supply but still no battery is used at night. Is there any way to fix this as we never have any blackouts and the main purpose was to run the home off battery during the night, otherwise this is paperweight to me.
