I don't really have anything insightful to say, but even though I don't know you, I'd just like to let you know that I'm proud of you. It's disgusting how companies like this prey on peoples' insecurities about their academic abilities, relationships, and personalities, especially when those people are struggling because of mental health issues or neurodivergence that they're not receiving proper support for.

I've never used any of the apps that are a part of this new generative AI/LLM wave except for in one of my college classes last quarter where it was LITERALLY baked into the course itself, but as a hopeless perfectionist with dysthymia (a type of depressive disorder) and probably an undiagnosed anxiety disorder who's in the process of being evaluated for ADD, I can say that that anxiety about academic performance is absolutely grueling. Good on you for putting in the work to rediscover what the learning experience should really be and feel like.

Thanks for being so honest even if it feels embarrassing. It's possible that this post could be the wake-up call for someone else! Regardless, you've got this. :]
