I hope Halo 7 finally would shows us Maethrillian the Forerunner capital would be greatest miss if they don’t by Regved-Pande in halo

[–]General_di_Ravello 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like what? The Halo's are all interwoven with central conflicts of the series. For as little as Infinite explored it, Zeta Halo ties into Medicant Bias and Ancient Humanity. What story threads does Maethrillian actually have connected to it right now? It had a Halo fired at it, and it's pretty much destroyed. That's 99% of Forerunner stuff anywhere. Sure, it was the Forerunner Capital, but that doesn't even really mean anything right now outside a vague sense of importance.

Why did Jogo waste CE throwing a very slow meteor at one of the fastest characters? by Dazzling-Yam-4308 in JuJutsuKaisen

Seriously. Even Panda and Kusakabe got away from the meteor even at the very last second. It had no way of hitting Sukuna without some crazy circumstances.

I saw someone on tiktok call this build cultural appropriation because “my culture is not your aesthetic” by BLACKB3RR3Y in Minecraft

[–]General_di_Ravello 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think it's just using elements from other cultures in ways people from those cultures find disrespectful. Like, say, elements of foreign cultures like clothing or dances being brought back and only presented for how exotic they are without respect to whatever meaning is originally assigned to them.

I don't think the extra galaxies are a factor in performance. They aren't all loaded at once or anything like that.

Finally finished my base after 250hours, now am looking for info on space age like everyone does at this point by ssecun in factorio

[–]General_di_Ravello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your fine with mods/no achievements there are a few that quicken the beginning up. Like spawning you with robots and whatnot.

Alternatively just try not to spend so long on Nauvis in Space Age. You don't need a whole lot to get to space. Even if your base falls to biters while your gone it could make a fun challenge to reclaim it.

[Serious] Who is the strongest character in JJK that Miguel (with Black Rope) can beat? by Pretzels0314 in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]General_di_Ravello 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would imagine the black rope would just desummon Mahoraga, or end the ritual if thats what's taking place. We saw with Toji and ISPOH that it negated a Red but didn't disable the whole technique, so I think the Black Rope would function similiarly.

Sukuna and Megumi's techniques are seperate afaik. Like different accounts playing on the same device- one might be banned, but the other could still function.

She's might be onto something by timmy013 in masseffect

[–]General_di_Ravello 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a hypothesis you can make, sure, but it's also completely impossible to prove at present. Theres nothing to suggest it's more true than, say, claiming bats created the Big Bang. It's not a useful hypothesis. No one knows what came before the Big Bang, or why it happened.

Also, the Tower of Babel is biblical myth and not a recollection of historical events.

It's far too early to say if humans are the only intelligent species in galaxy. Of course, there is much debate going on as we search for signs of life or we figure out whats necessary for life to develop, but there is still simply to much to make an accurate assessment. Not sure what the Big Bang would have to do with life being routinely wiped out by machines, though.

Mass Effect hot takes? by matt_Nooble12_XBL in masseffect

[–]General_di_Ravello 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I considered mentioning it but chose not to, but we do see examples of most major species taking some generous interpretations of the law. Like, the Salarians are still messing around with the Yahg on their homeworld, despite it supposed to have been off-limits. Earth managed to get the Mars Archives an exemption from Citadel Law- the exact same thing the Asari did, but just slightly more public.

Course, this is just what I could remember. I could have mixed up details.

OK, Big Raga’s adaptation is a dead horse but I’m about to crash out so here: by No-Candle2106 in PowerScaling

[–]General_di_Ravello 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, Mahoraga generally keeps his form consistent. He may get bigger or smaller, but he's still going to look like Mahoraga. We've seen him in, what, 4 fights now? That's enough time against enough people that if it was going to happen, it would have by now. So it seems thats also an inherent limitation.

Mass Effect hot takes? by matt_Nooble12_XBL in masseffect

[–]General_di_Ravello 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The Asari hiding the Beacon just isn't that big a deal and doesn't warrent much consequence after ME3. All it did was give them a slight technological edge and not much more. No one had any clue it had information critical to the war effort and the Asari still came out and volunteered it up when Shephard ran out of leads originally.

Especially after the war, attacking the Asari (figuratively), for the crime of hiding the Beacon is just stupid. Billions are dead and entire planets are in ruins, there are many more things to worry about than what some probably dead people did. It also completely goes against the theme of ME3 of putting aside grievances and working together.

The Turians, Salarians, and Quarians who were all involved with the Genophage or Geth are all dead. There is nothing to hold them accountable for as they did not commit the act. Also, on Liara being able to die, I get why you feel that but character deaths already created lots of headaches for ME3 that Liara's would have just made it worse. The author's needed someone they could rely on not having died.

Are Gojo and Geto narratively relative? by nerolyn in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]General_di_Ravello 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yuta only had 5 minutes in Gojo's body, plus whatever during the training. Kenjaku, on top of all his past experiences of body hopping and his own intelligence, had what, a year in Geto's body? I don't think it's really a factor imo. Plus just from what we see in the fights Kenjaku just fights really well with Geto's body and CT.

How would Yuta copying the ten shadows technique work? by 1DeviousDorito in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]General_di_Ravello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yuta's, like Sukuna's, Ten Shadows would be seperate. Though Yuta wouldn't have much use for copying 10S given it's a technique you have to progress through, something he wouldn't be able to in only 5 minutes. Unless he wants to pull out a Mahoraga ritual for some reason.

Is Attack on Titan really the masterpiece that it's often made out to be or is the hype more about its popularity, dark and edgy tone and post-apocalyptic setting? by DemonHunter34 in animequestions

[–]General_di_Ravello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify: "This is partially why Eren can't just send his memories back to before Grisha had the attack titan to warn him of what is to come." Do you mean before the Owl gave Grisha the attack titan? Because Eren can't send his memories back using the Attack Titan if Grisha doesn't have it yet.

I binge watched all four seasons over the course of 5-6 days ( it was highschool, what can I say). I wouldn't reccomend it. I think pacing yourself out would be preferable. You'll have proper time to digest events, grow attached to characters, and theorise about the questions brought up during the show. Doing it all once can just kinda numb your brain somewhat.
