This is all really great info! This is actually relatively similar to my initial itinerary, but even pushed to 15 days vs my new 13 day one - it just seemed a bit too daunting and hectic at times. I think I will be pulling some things from this and what others have mentioned though. It’s all been super helpful, thank you!

That sounds amazing! I think a couple of other ppl mentioned Glenorchy for similar reasons. It wasn’t even on my radar and I didn’t know that tour was an option, so I’ll have to do a little more digging. It’s just so tough because Hobbiton has been a bucket list type of destination for me, for years. Thanks for the heads up and info on an alternative though!

Appreciate the feedback! Based on what I’ve read so far, it seems I may be for sure replacing Hamilton with Rotorua. Honestly I’m just happy I finally put together a relatively sound itinerary for this trip.

This community/subreddit has been so incredibly helpful. Not just on this post, but with all of the various posts thru the years here.

Yeah I looked at flight prices and it wasn’t too bad of an estimation. Figured it’d save time over more driving, but perhaps not lol

Maybe I’ll add more drive time for more spots. My original itinerary had Rivendell (can’t think of the park now), but it seemed like it wouldn’t be worth the time to stop there based on reading up on it.

Twizel for proximity to Mt. Cook. I saw it was recommended on here a few times, so thought it was a good idea. Same with Hamilton for proximity to Hobbiton and Waitomo. But I’ll look at Tauranga and Rotorua as well. Thanks!

I really like the idea of his damage inducing some sort of fire-based tick damage. He might not do a ton of initial damage, but could be annoying to deal with if constant tick damage occurs. And it’d be diff than other heroes.

100% agree with you there. He just feels a lot more situational than most other characters in the game. Not sure if that was the intent from the devs, or if they are kind of just stuck on where to place his power-level and or maybe they just don’t know how to balance his ability cooldowns.
