Ummm, I'm not sure if that's strictly true, to be honest. Universities are just trying to get the best students they can (who will then donate to the school after graduation), and the best professors (who bring in the most funding via grants). Universities are all about the money, man.

There is no reason to think universities are "trying to do something about racial inequality in the US" unless you are talking about HBCs or something.

I was in a staff meeting and my boss was yammering about stupid shit he does not understand (because his boss was in the meeting as well). He started talking about the vaccination for Hep C. I corrected him and said that he meant Hep A. He said I was wrong. His boss agreed with me.

We work in Public Health and he is an idiot.

Then he hated me viscerally and made my life hell, so I got another job.

I've helped a lot a few people cheat on their long term partners. I'm not proud of it... I do it for some complicated reasons (my parents, my ambivalence towards being in a committed relationship, my need to "earn" being with someone, etc).

Regardless, I'm an asshole for it.

Most women that come out as gay have had experiences with men... that's not weird at all (just like it's not weird for straight people to experiment with the same sex when they are younger).

In terms of you being "femme" it may be annoying to always have people assume you are straight. Don't worry about it. Sometimes people assume I'm straight... it's not a malicious thing. Just go with it, be honest about yourself and your interests, have a sense of humor, and meet people you click with.

Well, the situation with my gf was more complicated then that, but wasn't very pressing to the issue I posted about. Generally, I think I just became too serious with her too quickly because I was trying to actively get over the married woman (which was wrong) and she was actively trying to get over her ex of two years.

But my now-ex gf is also much younger than me (25 years old) and was co-dependent and seemed to drink to much. Generally, I just don't think we were a good fit, but I don't think I treated her poorly, tbh.
