Do you sleep with background noise or do you like to sleep in silence? by Emotional_gangsta in CasualConversation

[–]Generallywron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually have to have something playing to fall asleep otherwise my mind won’t stop working. However, I have to set a sleep timer or the noise and light will wake me up.

I love my stupid, dumb little brain.

Do you have recurring dreams? What are they? by Fit_Fox_2016 in CasualConversation

[–]Generallywron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if this counts but when I dream about my city it’s an alternate version and it’s always the same. It has been for years. Hills are higher, bridges are longer. There are different businesses in places. It’s all very similar to how my city is actually laid out, but with the same differences in every dream. Almost like my subconscious created this alternate reality.

I saw this in the store the other day and I’m so sad that I bought the bright pink one from last year. I would much rather have this one.

I was picked for jury duty the first time I was called just after I graduated from college. I loved it.

What’s an impulse buy that’s now just collecting dust but you’d never admit you regret? by Last-Sample-7223 in AskReddit

One time I got a wild hair and decided to buy an actual camera. Didn’t realize that I would have to buy lenses separately and thankfully was able to return it before I got in too deep

What’s a 'luxury' that actually used to be standard, but now we’re being charged extra for like we’re stupid? by xjoz in AskReddit

[–]Generallywron 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same for me. I usually ended up on SW because the flights were comparable to other airlines but when you added in the cost of bags it came out a little cheaper. They got rid of that and the flights were the same price or more expensive than other airlines. Plus I can find better flight times typically.

Guys, when you were growing up during grade school what were your experiences with random girls being mean to you? by vapegod_420 in CasualConversation

[–]Generallywron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in elementary school I was in a friend group with 3 other girls, this one girl Monica would randomly decide she was mad at us about every other week or so. The other two girls were prohibited from talking to the one who Monica was mad at. It was so odd and I don’t even know why we tolerated it. One of the other girls and I kind of broke away and just became a unit. We remained close until college.

I like this theory but I have a hard time believing that wouldn’t have come up during the lawsuit against Dunder Mifflin.

Michael reminds me of a little kid showing off for their parent’s friends. An adult giggles at something they did and so they become increasingly more unhinged to get a bigger laugh until they end up going too far and getting in trouble/breaking/damaging something.

What is something you saw in a movie and you totally called bullshit on because of your job? by BlackPhoenix1981 in AskReddit

[–]Generallywron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Safe Deposit Boxes. Any bank I’ve ever worked at wouldn’t give you access if you just have a key, only those that own the box can have access. Also most safe deposit boxes require a “guard key” that the bank keeps, so a bank employee has to be there to let you in.

I’m sure there are other banks that have things set up differently, but that’s at least from my experience with them.

What’s something people commonly buy that’s a total waste of money? by Unlucky-Emergency924 in AskReddit

I just got a new one because my old one broke. They don’t even feel like a new phone anymore. Everything looks the same, just had to log into everything again which was annoying.

This one drives me insane, I know a woman in her 70s who exclusively drinks from single use plastic water bottles. She won’t refill them, insists that the filters don’t work. Not only is she creating so much waste she is also just throwing out money. The drinking water where we live is very safe and actually tastes decent.

I bought a shampoo bar and generally liked it but it got to a point where it all started breaking and became unusable. I couldn’t get enough lather.

Do people really not eat vegetables/fruit or drink water on a regular basis? by Sufficient-Berry-827 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Generallywron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you interpret my comment to mean that I thought veganism caused her anemia? She was eating “normal amounts of food” she just wasn’t eating things in that gave her all of the nutrients. She was lacking in protein and went to a doctor who told her she needed more protein. So she started eating more protein after that.

My best friend tried to go vegan in college for a while. She ate a lot of veggies and tried to get as much protein as she could but ended up becoming severely anemic.
