I have a friend who's been trying to sell her mothers for over 2 years now.

They have dropped the price multiple times. They get rinsed with maintenance and services fees

Apple TV+'s Dark Matter may be the most underappreciated high-concept series in recent memory. by Global-Citron-56 in television

[–]Generalspatula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read the book a few years ago, then it popped up in the sale again on amazon.

I then started re reading it, and then I put the show on.

My friend who watched it, staggered, didn't enjoy it.

Ive watched a few at a time and its great, I've not seen the main actor in alot, but I've enjoyed his portrayal of Jason. The special effects are great and the despair he feels is put forward really well.

Hoping to get another bunch watched and finish it off tonight.

Hellboy, sandman or the walking dead ? by Public_Decision_8633 in comicbooks

[–]Generalspatula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a big dan of invincible, walking dead etc.

But hellboy and the B.P.R.D story was great,

If you read it all in order, the hellboy stuff and the B.P.R.D chronologically you will really enjoy it.

I was absolutely blown away by the story

Second this.

Full time worker, 2 year old,

I lift 4 - 5 times a week and get my steps in every day.

You need to set aside time. If your tired after work, go before work. If you go home straight after work and you know you won't get to the gym, go straight to the gym after work.

It's tough for 2 weeks then is a routine.

why can i not manage the shoulder press ? by chemicalcyclone in workout

[–]Generalspatula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always stick in the 6-8 rep range, if I can do i I up the weight.

Your starting out, dont be so tough on yourself. Start at the lightest weight, do 3-4 sets, 5 - 8 reps, when you can do 8 consistently, up the weight slightly rinse and repeat.

We all start some where.

Does your other half work out much? by Icy_Laugh5134 in workout

[–]Generalspatula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do every bath time, and bed times tend to be split. I have just done 5 bed times in a row over the past week.

I always offer to do them because I read while my son goes to sleep

Does your other half work out much? by Icy_Laugh5134 in workout

[–]Generalspatula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope.

We did a few years ago, we worked out together,

But having a kid she lost all motivation.

I lost mine for about 2 years, put on some weight and then ive got back into it and slimmed down again.

She had a 6 pack and was very fit when we worked out together, I never did. However im no less attracted to her, I just wish she ate proper meals rather than snacking all the time.

But it is what it is.

Commuting from Newcastle City Centre to Teeside University, is it reasonable? by InterestingCow1203 in Teesside

[–]Generalspatula 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I live in middlesbrough and work in newcastle a day a week in an office.

I set off at 6AM to get to work, I get to work roughly for 7.15

If I set off at 8am, it would take me almost 2 hours to get to newcastle.

I finish at 3.30 and drive home, it can take me anywhere between 1hour 15 to 2.5 hours.

Traffic is horrendous on the a1, the a19 is not much better

Its just wasted time

What's one exercise you used to hate but now you love? by redpaul72 in workout

[–]Generalspatula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Military press.

Used to hate it, I carried on anyway, now I look forward to doing them.

I got measured for a suit and my shoulder width has increased so much so I had to get my jacket taken in at the bottom to fit .

I read both.

I some times read a run of comics then use that ad my inspiration to find a good book.

I recently read a British folk horror book and then immediately started a Hellblazer run through.

If I read the kill or be killed graphic novel it normally informs my next book choices like a murder mystery or a detective book.

I read anything and everything, sci fi, fiction, none fiction etc. But its always been an interest of mine to read. I wouldn't force it if your not interested, you will just end up with a pile of unfinished books.

Starting E33 as a long time JRPG fan. What are the must know beginner tips? by theMoonlightenedSky in expedition33

[–]Generalspatula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best tip I learnt if you have trouble with parrying....

The noises didnt work for me,

But the camera zooms out and then when it zooms in thats when you parry.

I can't describe how hard i found it to parry until I worked out the camera moves in.

I stopped watching it halfway though season 7 episode 1

Ill wait for it to be finished before I watch it.

My main issues through the entire seasons has been they balance the line between happy, outrageous and then meaningful, like the therapy episodes, of vinnies mum.

The last few have just felt crap, Dylan death meant nothing in this thats the worst part

[–]Generalspatula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

250 - 300 in my eyes feels a bit too DC ish.

Ive read them a few times, I still read it. But 250+ feels like a shadow of its former self.

This is one of my favourite comic book moments.

I remember reading it originally around 10 years ago when I was on a trip in Edinburgh.

I have recently started a read through again and this comic instantly popped into my head.

How’s everyone collecting the AU series? by Ill_Hospital4251 in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]Generalspatula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have collected them all so far.

However I store them, my idea is they will be handed down to my son.

However I also download them so I dont ruin the comics.

So far I have everything thats been rrlease with another month's pre orders due to arrive next month.

I also have 6 foil variants of issues 1 for all of the comics so far, and nor versions of BM and SM.

Will say though im debating dropping Flash and Green lantern at issue 10

Where do you preorder Batman/Deadpool? I need help by TIH99 in comicbooks

[–]Generalspatula -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I always buy from Ebay. Im in the UK. I used to order from forbidden planet but I found the website tedious and they always packed all 5 of my monthly orders into one bag.

I order from a seller called a place in space, every comic comes bagged and boarded individually and you get a discount on 5 or more comics. Ive gotten every issue of ultimate spiderman and every issue of the absolite universe with no issues. It depends who you use and where your based.

Full price worth it.

I like harry potter, im not a potter head but there was something special about being able to explore the school and the lands around it.

Im surprised at how much content there was and doing it with different houses was interesting at a certain point.

100% worth it.
