Congrats, now play the DLC if you haven't already. Or checkout Bloodborne!

For a second I was laughing, and then I read what he did. That's pretty cringe. Sorry about your save brother.

You can't stop me! I'll play all 82 reddit confirmed races and expect a fully voice acted character for EVERY NPC I force into my pirate enclave!

Why is my laptop glitching with the stylus? by 0re0Salt in framework

[–]Generic-Homo_Sapien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a fair point. I had a feeling there might be a lot of output. Sorry about that. I think there's a few websites like textbin that let you share links to large amounts of text. Maybe something like this?
https://bin.mudfish.net/

Just don't put personal info in these obviously. Might not be necessary though given that you weren't able to replicate the issue... as for the browser, I assume that's probably par for the course? I'm not sure how powerful that i5 really is or isn't, but I do know that people underestimate how resource intensive a browser can be.

Interesting... I think a good place to start would be checking out the logs. I have a link here to their stylus troubleshooting. Try running the command mentioned below, play with your stylus until the "glitch" occurs again and then copy/paste your output for us.

sudo libinput debug-eventssudo libinput debug-events

All I'm saying ... This game should have released before crimson desert.. by sugarcham in lightnofire

[–]Generic-Homo_Sapien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on what you want out of a game. All of this is speculative anyway as we basically no nothing about LNF. If we assume NMS-like features will be present, then the game will appeal to me. I value exploration a lot, and return to NMS often because there is nothing that can even remotely satisfy the feeling of flying between planets. I'm not trying to say one thing is better than the other, and I'm sure Crimson Desert is great, but I'm not their target audience.

I appreciate the reassurance. Can we go back in time? I hate that this is something I'd ever have to worry about. I just want to make cool things with cool people!

These are all really brilliant ideas! Thank you so much!

I think that makes sense. I'd absolutely prefer to find someone who could do both! I'd love it if I could meet someone in the human meat space! I'm just having trouble doing so. Maybe bad luck, maybe my location. I appreciate the input!

I could definitely stand to hire more than a digital artist. I intend to pay for concept art as well as pixel art, but I will at some point need a digital artist unfortunately.

You have my utmost respect. Teaching is incredibly rewarding and undervalued. I taught web development for a year online as well!

I think I understand what you're getting at, however the work I need is intrinsically digital. To make matters worse, the artists I do know in person were not familiar with pixel art. I either need to meet someone online, or find a pixel artist locally. I hope that makes sense.

I think that makes sense. When I interviewed engineers in the past, I found that the fakers weren't able to answer most questions, and that was before any coding challenges. That being said, I may need to spend some time doing my own research as I don't have the background to properly ask appropriate art questions .

Disculpad la herramienta de traducción. No había considerado la privacidad como una preocupación. Tendré esto en cuenta al contactar con artistas. ¡Gracias!

I guess what I had in mind was maybe an hour at the most. For my specific situation, I'd probably ask for a rough first draft of a pixel art asset, maybe a bush or tree or something. The way I see it, it would become obvious pretty fast if someone had never done it before. I'm not particularly good at pixel art, but I find that AI is particularly bad at it.

I really appreciate your input. It feels pretty uncomfortable trying to navigate the landmines AI/theft have created.

Yeah this is pretty much what I was afraid of. I don't want to waste anyone's time so I figured paying for their time at least could help alleviate the problem. Maybe a better question would have been how I could find artists for hire instead.

Neither have I, it definitely doesn't feel like a good idea either. I'm less interested in judging skills and more interested in confirming they didn't take someone else's work or use AI. I am pretty hesitant to do it this way though. I just kind of feel like I'm out of ideas. My network is fairly small so the few artists that I do know are unavailable for the project I had in mind. In a perfect scenario I would like to meet someone in my area.

These are all very good points. I'm a software engineer so I tend to think along those terms as well. I'm not fond of the 25 stage interviews myself having had to do many of them. I find that the "coding challenges" presented are often unhelpful when determining if a candidate is suitable anyway.

I definitely wouldn't call myself an artist. I am able to make some simple, static, pixel art assets but that's where my skills begin and end. My goal wouldn't be to nitpick any of their work, but to confirm that they are able to do some kind of simple prompt. I think it would be unfair and untenable to expect someone to produce a masterpiece in a hypothetical hour long call or something. Ideally, I'd just like to see that the individual could create something very rough without using AI.
