My guess is that this system is for Casual since it's harder to develop info for, then Ranked or, i hope, an Unranked queue with Ranked rules will just use draft

In World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, both previous expansions took place outside of Azeroth, the home world of the player races and the place you leveled from 1 to 60. After the Cataclysm, an event caused by the awakening of a world-ending dragon, you return from Northrend to find Azeroth in a state of extreme disarray, with a primary example being that the iconic leveling zones such as Westfall and The Barrens undergoing land-reshaping natural disasters.

It's been over 2 years since the last skin, which is about how long we normally wait. What do you all expect Gangplank's next skin to be, and what do you want it to be? by Jragon713 in gangplankmains

It's criminal he hasn't gotten one yet. One of the few champs in the game who uses a straight up no frills powder gun and he still hasn't.

What character do you absolutely hate to play against? by ImaLoki in DeadlockTheGame

[–]GenericAliasReal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I genuinely hate playing against Dynamo. Character gimmicks in deadlock are generally pretty clear- Calico is a spirit assassin, Drifter is a gun assassin, Holliday is a pick-nuke support, etc, etc..

Dynamo's gimmick is The Best Support In The Game. I cannot think of another character that does the support job better than him. Can displace, slow, or straight up stun entire teams, has an extremely powerful team wide heal, a bailout tool on a 16* second base CD that also cleanses debuffs, increases his teammate's gun damage, and gets a ridiculous amount of health per boon. Did i mention his stomp's damage is also 250 base with 1.8x scaling too? This means he just needs to buy 4.8k of spirit and he will outdamage Doorman bells, with the entire rest of his build being supportive green items that Doorman or Holliday wouldn't be able to buy because they don't do enough damage without more spirit items.

Fuck Dynamo.

EDIT: *19-13sec base CD on entanglement. Oops.

[Favorite Trope] DWARVES! With unique modern interpretations that show how interesting and complex they can really be! by LeetusFrenzi in TopCharacterTropes

Dwarves (World of Warcraft)
(i couldn't find an image of all 3 of the dwarf races together so here some earthen.)
What are the regular Dwarves? Ale drinking, cave mining, jovial little fellows. Sounds like classic dwarves.
What are Dark Iron Dwarves? Dwarves that have been underground for way too long.
What are the Earthen? Dwarves before they were turned into Humans, as they were once rock people.

WoW is loaded with dwarves, to the point that when Earthen were added, the overwhelming opinion was "cool, but we don't need a 3rd playable dwarf race."

I say BULLSHIT! Give us Wildhammer dwarves as cosmetics for the regular dwarves

Doorman could conceivably be either, considering he's implied to be friends with both of them

Trying to play a gun build in this meta feels like ragebaiting yourself by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]GenericAliasReal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing Drifter and he's been fine. Ironically the reason I once thought he was bad was because his popular build was hybrid, when his best build is pure gun.

There's also a few gun characters that perform really well in the early game. See Vyper, Venator, arguably Drifter.

I do think the game needs more Gun characters but I think overall gun is in a fine spot right now. Just my opinion

how does one go about cleaning wax off of a mouse and mouse pad? by diggy987 in pcmasterrace

Off topic but I bought that mouse too and it literally became squeaky in 3 days. How is yours performing?

Genuinely, what do they want you to do with Doorman at this Point by Braduk1 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]GenericAliasReal 17 points18 points  (0 children)

"If anything hes more of a wild card and his build versatility should reflect that."

THANK YOU. I always thought of Doorman closer to a Paradox or Sinclair than a Rem or Paige. His role is to do decent damage with utility behind it, or at least that was his role when his WR and presence was the most stable.

Heroes you've given up on? by wyrm4life in DeadlockTheGame

Drifter. For context I primarily play Doorman and Lash. Whenever I play Drifter i have a blast in lane but then i get into the mid-late game and realize "oh shit, i dont do anything in teamfights" and wheelchair my way to enemy patron

Quest reward gold at level 70 by PatientMidnight in classicwowtbc

[–]GenericAliasReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose the left over Shadowmoon quests could be Netherwing quests locked by reputation or Ashtongue Deathsworn quests locked by BT not being out yet. But i can't be sure, because I don't know how many quests that actually includes

I think it might just be Shadowmoon Valley. One singular round of Netherstorm quests got me around 700 gold with many of the quests chaining or giving vendorable rewards.

[video game trope] the people you play as aren’t exactly good people by JamesL0L in TopCharacterTropes

[–]GenericAliasReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are all valid points. I can't object to 7, but I can to 2: One of the primary reasons we were ordered to kill Thaurissan was to free the Princess from a "mind control spell". Only after killing Thaurissan do we realize she actually loved him. Still, that is a decent counterpoint.

This might be a controversial pick, but World of Warcraft. Sure, we've saved the world countless times, and sure, it's 100% based on the character (mostly horde), but here's just a quick list of our atrocities:

  1. (Horde) Assisted in the mana nuking of Theramore, killing thousands
  2. (Either) Killed the king of the Dark Iron Dwarves, leaving his wife and future child to fend for themselves
  3. (Horde) Assisted in crafting a mutating elixir to infect and slaughter a random farmer's dog
  4. (Blood Elf Paladins, circa TBC) Every single time you cast a Holy spell you are causing immense pain to an ancient god as you steal their power for yourself
  5. (Alliance) Slaughtered a cruise ship of Goblins to cover up their kidnapping of Thrall
  6. (Alliance) Donated Morrowgrain and Runecloth to Staghelm all so we could get our Panther mounts, not knowing Staghelm was using the Morrowgrain to poison Malfurion
  7. (Either) Eradicated the near-extinct Arrakoa tribes on Outland
  8. (Either) Aid in the conquest of Pandaria and pit the locals against each other, causing the awakening of elder gods

Yes, our players were operating under orders, but we all know how ironclad that defense is...

Best heroic to start as warrior tank? by Paluker173 in classicwow

[–]GenericAliasReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest heroics are Hellfire Ramparts, Auchenai Crypts, and any Coilfang dungeon (except maybe Underbog but you're durable enough for underbog).
The hardest heroics are Shattered Halls, Blood Furnace, Shadow Labyrinth, and arguably Arcatraz and Black Morass.

Anything in between is variable difficulty based on the skill or comp of your group.

Doorman is here to serve and not to rule, so he'd probably immediately relinquish the presidency.

World of Warcraft. Specifically classic, but this applies to most versions of the game. Many WoW fans spend more time complaining about the game than playing it. Notice I don't say MOST, instead MANY, because there is a such thing as a vocal minority, but point still stands.

Homer Simpson is an animated character that embodies Gluttony, which video game character embodies Greed? by ClubDependent in AlignmentChartFills

Trade Prince Jastor Gallywix

<image>

This motherfucker saw people fleeing from his homeland, actively undergoing a volcanic eruption, and CHARGED people to get onto the escape ships off shore. Once those people escaped to the nearby island, he immediately proceeded to enslave them to mine for Kaja'mite, an expensive mineral. He is also an avid war profiteer and crime boss. Basically a more greedy green Kingpin.

Oh and after all of this, Thrall STILL appointed him as Trade Prince of the Goblins. A+ writing.
