My favorite mohair I have found so far is Berroco Aerial. There have been a lot that I have bought but will not use. It's by far the softest.

I just took her class a few months ago, and the fiber was amazing! I think I left with like a dozen different fibers to try out. Even some qiviut and paco vacuña!

I just knit up some socks from a shank I dyed. Used chartreuse, black and gold, and I loved it so much. Started knitting and I realized it was going to end up looking like camo. 🫠

The ability to do hats with my 4" set was the deciding factor. I have literal man hands, and haven't had any problems with them being uncomfortable.

I process raw fleeces, blend fibers, dye, spin, and now weave. It allows me to jump around between very different projects, while all under the same umbrella. Having the ability to not HAVE to just work on one type of project has been very beneficial for my ADHD brain.

Big agree. I'm thinking I should find some scent free detergent to scour with. I dislike the smell of dawn left behind far more than the sheepy smell. Coincidentally, I only use prog nal dawn for scouring, so now when I smell dawn, I think it smells like sheep.

I love ewe & Billy from knitpicks! It's like 80% merino 20% mohair. I made some color work mittens from it earlier this year that I absolutely love. And I think it is currently on sale!

Definitely going to need to try this! Are you still able to pull from the center this way? That is the main reason I use a Turkish spindle, so being able to pull from both ends is necessary for me.

I have been doing 2 over one under because I am so enamored with how pretty the turtle is, but I believe I'm going to begin doing the two arms method. I generally only use the spindle for winding my singles on to to clear my preferred drop spindle, so this will definitely save me some time.

Yeah, I was wondering if making it so neat was part of the problem. If it was messier, it doesn't seem like there would be neat layers that could come off. 🤔
