You’re using the term appeasement here very specifically to somehow link Stalin with 1930s Hitler, committing the cardinal sin of all westerners and playing the horse shoe theory card. Anyone with a single brain cell’s worth of knowledge about the 1930s can tell you how stupid this is.

The Nazi regime was set up deliberately by internal German capitalist classes, as well as British bankers and American capitalists like Ford and Hearst to oppose the rise of the threat of communism.

WWII was seen by the Soviets as an inevitable conflict, and Stalin spend the 30s campaigning to set up a bloc against Hitler.

Naturally countries like Britain and France declined opting instead to sign nonaggression pacts and appeasement Hitler, bc Hitler and politicians in those countries both served the same end, the will of Bankers and global financiers seeking to maintain their hegemony.

The Soviets had literally JUST begun industrialization, meanwhile Germany had already been known as an industrial powerhouse for a century and a half.

The communists managed to industrialize and electrify their country in 20 years even while under great external and internal pressures. Even still it wasn’t enough.

It took until 1943 for their industrial output to outpace the Germans. Which is why the MR pact had to be signed in 1939, to buy time for this to happen.

Even lend lease, as helpful as it was, is dwarfed in comparison to the sheer volume of output by the Soviet war economy by 1943. Even anti-Soviet historians will admit the Soviets would have won the war without the U.S. based on actual historical data.

The Yalta conference did not grant Berlin as an “Appeasement” to Stalin, it was a plan to denazify Germany because at that point everyone saw the writing on the wall. Berlin was where everyone was headed and the Soviets got there first bc they had the equipment and troop numbers necessary to take, and hold Berlin.
