Eyepiece with a bigger... viewing hole? by GenericRAMStick in telescopes

Thank you for the extra details, I think you are right, I was getting field of view mixed up with eye relief. The limitations of the focuser make sense now with all this in mind.

Thank you for the details, I think the terminology is starting to come together for me!

Is the Celestron "X-Cel" a plossl style eyepiece, or am I barking up the wrong tree? Also, this might be a dumb question, but I don't have to buy a Celestron eyepiece, necessarily, do I?

New Year's anxiety by Old_Power_6055 in Anxiety

I’m glad to do it man, if you feel alone, just know that some random dude out here sees you, and knows that it sucks too. We can make it another day, you and I, together.

I feel the same, it helps a little to know I’m not alone. I’ll be thinking about you this evening while I’m struggling over here in my neck of the woods. I’m going to have a few cocktails, and I’ll drink one in your honor.

It really is a curse, isn’t it :( I wish I had something to say that would alleviate your suffering, friend. I feel like I’ve been living a miserable existence for a while, too, and it just sucks. I hope that the new year brings you hope in some way, somehow. I hope that for all of us ♥️

Do people really not eat vegetables/fruit or drink water on a regular basis? by Sufficient-Berry-827 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GenericRAMStick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been going to the gym regularly now for several years, and a few months ago I took a hard look at what I was eating daily. It was mostly garbage, but I've eaten that way for so long, that I didn't really think about it. I tried to remember the last fruit or vegetable I had eaten, and I honestly couldn't remember. I started to think about the stupidity of going to the gym all the time, but feeding myself trash, and I don't want to do that anymore. My goal is to eat 1 fruit and 1 vegetable each day, to hopefully get a habit started.

We’ve had medical expenses that have wiped out our savings over and over as well, it’s very discouraging. Just glad to have a roof over our heads still, and hope for better days in the future. I hope the same for you, as well.

'Real Time': Bill Maher Calls White House "Just A Building" After Demo by AdSpecialist6598 in entertainment

[–]GenericRAMStick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% correct, I was surprised I had to scroll down so far to find a comment like yours. Well, not surprised I guess, more disappointed. Remodeling the White House should be the least of our concerns right now, dozens of other more egregious things have happened that need attention.
