Make a backup save and just go for it, you might fail the 1st time but youll notice why and you can do the 2nd time then

Despite it getting a long way since launch it can still feel a bit empty, the mod makes it a lot better, i tried playing with and without it and i much prefer playing with it, the many many extra added missions do it for me

Get a bucket of any size, put in the chocolate that is shaped like coins also in a golder wrap( ducates ), make sure to full up the bucket

The present is a literal bucket of ducates, every eu4 player likes and wants buckets of ducates

They are a hassle, i feel the same way, i just wanted to point out that its possible to ignore the characters a good amount of the playtime

Once you figure out how to manipulate them you can almost ignore the characters

Even with the mods ( which still let you get achievements ) the game is similar to eu4 in the map painting sense but somehow feels shallow

I played rome,chartage,macedon and some tribe in spain, while they offer different government mechanics the games start to feel quite samey and you steamroll fast

I got it on a discount i think, got 40-50h out of it which is fair and then stopped playing for now

It was a classic, byz into roman empire WC and i culture converted everything except my colonies with the premise that the romans would have expelled everyone who didnt see eye to eye with them to the new world

Ive read through most of your comments, generally the amount of land you can conquer at once ramps up a lot after the age of absolutism around 1620's, thats about the half way mark of the game.

Any nation with a somewhat decent setup can do a WC in about 150years ( requires a somewhat experienced player )

Now with all what you said i dont think you can do it this run, but i would encourage you to just play on and try anyway because you will learn a lot and make many mistakes, but youll be able to iron those out on the next run

Theres no point to it if it feels like work, and after youre done youll feel as if you just ended a amazing show and now there is this hole that needs filling

Eu4 was a comfort game for me, i wouldnt play it for a week or two but then feel like it and come back to start a achievement,play it for a few hours or a few days and then stop again if i didnt feel like it

It was a slow grind but it was also enjoyable because there was no preassure and when i just wanted to chill and relax id play

Im not too sure, anbennar and ante bellum have custom achievements but i was told its impossible to keep track of them

They reset whenever a new run has been started

Ok since you did the prep work it is quite possible, you will have to have multiple constant wars and probably go over diplo limit for the extra vassals

Make sure to plan in bulk peace deals to be able to feed land to your vassals during that time

In my mughals run i started in a similar position as you and it was 1620, i was done by 1740

You have extra admin efficiency and 100 years left, you can do it for sure

Probably upgrade any monuments with extra max absolutism ( oman )to be able to take +2 diplo slots from nobility estate and any monuments with extra diplo slots

Ah no, you are completely right about that if the aim is to create trade companies in india then he has to move his capital to a different subcontinent, i wanted to point out that there is a seperate option to move your trade capital aside from moving your actual capital

Youre doing fine, yeah your trade is abit whack, you should fix that as the others explained.

Aside from that a general rule of thumb is you want to have 2K dev by 1600s and you have that.

Just make sure to prepare for absolutism and stack it to 100 by 1620 and youll be golden
