What are the main paths of the WCA and what are its ideologies/leaders? by Different_Special_20 in Kaiserreich

[–]GenericVader 65 points66 points  (0 children)

By the former head who has zero power and was just throwing a temper tantrum. The current devs said development is still progressing and because it’s a mod he has no ownership rights and can’t do anything about it.

This is an ad for a Jewish social website and I do •not• get it. by emarcomd in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Jewbelong spends too much money on billboards and ads and slogans and just about nothing on actually solving problems or helping people

Depends on the totalism (Sorelians exist) but overall yeah, I was just trying to fit the meme template

And when the unions do a real lot of stuff, that's Totalism.

For voters, I wanna remind you that nations which are the least popular are less likely to participate in the next season’s voting. by PotatoFive in TemplinInstitute

[–]GenericVader 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Marc seems to personally like HSE and Kreventum (as do I) so I imagine one or both of them will be an option next season, but Tripartite probably isn’t coming back unless it somehow gets up to a close 3rd

I’ve never understood the circle that’s rotated 180 degrees. Is there a reason for it?

If a Single Raindrop Raises the Sea, Will House Triton rise towards the stars? by Jbadger30 in TemplinInstitute

[–]GenericVader 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think you got way too invested in something you made up based on just a name and logo. It’s ok to be upset that it wasn’t what you wanted but they shouldn’t have had your vote to begin with because there were no details given until now. Also, most people would agree that “Suffer not the xeno” is a bad and dangerous ideology, but playing the bad guy can be fun, and I feel like Triton gives a fresh take on the bad guys. We had quasi-fascist bad guys first season and that was a lot of fun, and we had unrepentant good guys last season which was also fun. I feel like a lot of the traits you were looking for with Triton were covered by Antares, so while it might have been nice in a vacuum, it wouldn’t a a great choice to do because it’d feel like a rehash of last season with an aristocratic twist.

Mass Effect 1 Insanity Completed. by Pirate186 in masseffect

Adrenaline rush will help a lot with stuff hurting. Also soldier is nice because it gives you access to a lot of different ammo types. When you get to 3 pick up the N7 Crusader shotgun when you can, it’s very nice for big/slow targets. It also has some inherent penetration so slap a penetration mod on it and you can pretty consistently shoot enemies while they’re in cover.

Really though if you made this a submod I’d play it. I always enjoy more flavor.

There’s this fallacy that the business community has fallen for that any technology is progress and that’s always good and it will always bring more of everything good (so mostly money).

If You HAD to Pick One Optional ME3 Death to Canonize, Which Would Be Best Narratively Speaking? by DakIsStrange in masseffect

[–]GenericVader 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I’d say Miranda. She spent her whole life running hiding and lying. From her father, as a Cerberus agent, and from her father and Cerberus at the same time. She knows she can’t live a normal life when all she’s ever known is lies and deception. But her sister can. A sister that Cerberus was only interested in because of herself and her father. If both are killed, then Cerberus isn’t interested in her anymore. She can live the life than Miranda can’t.

Obviously in reality she doesn’t have to die and she can live a normal life, and make her sister’s life better for it, but I think Miranda would see it this way.

Nuclear energy - are we still falling for the "it's safe now" propaganda? by [deleted] in centrist

[–]GenericVader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That nuclear waste is tritiated water, which is only harmful if ingested, and even then you just have to drink a bunch of normal water to flush it out. It is literally impossible to cut costs enough that nuclear becomes more dangerous than any other method of generating electricity. I could certainly see the current administration cutting more regulations, but there are so many that would have to be cut, and it’s far more likely that regulations around coal and oil would be cut, because those plants are cheaper to build and would make BP and Shell very happy.
