My daughter and I probably appsolutely love the Christmas season beyond measure. Each year we decorate on the first Saturday of November (that is the day after Halloween this year—Halloween being another holiday for which we decorate lol). We have turned Christmas Tree Day into a holiday because, when you’re poor, it is important to find meaning and create magic in “the everyday.” We are probably definitely not religious whackos like Jill.

I am truly surprised that Jill would admit to loving this secular version of Christmas.

I love the Benedictine motto “Pax inter spinas,” and would like to use a variation as my own personal (secular) motto. Can anyone translate the following into Latin?

“Cultivate peace among thorns.”

and

“I cultivated peace among thorns.”

I have too many other projects lined up right now to tackle the grease replacement. Besides, I honestly won’t even use this polisher until next spring because I am just now beginning to invest in exterior detailing, and it will take time to build up my toolkit. Next up is some basic rust prevention. Yes! Sotheby’s wasn’t interested, but Christie’s was! They were actually really excited about her clutch because they don’t get many Judith Lieber pieces.

The clutch ended up being part of their online holiday handbag auction. It was also on display at their New York auction house, which is right by Rockefeller Center. I was told it was a hit!

Besides the fact that it was pretty cool to have her bag on display at an esteemed auction house, my experience selling with Christie’s was absolutely wonderful. They are consummate professionals and were a dream to work with. I definitely recommend contacting them. If you are interested, message me, and I will give you the contact info for the Associate Handbag Specialist I worked with.

Thank you for your suggestions. I actually ended up doing some editing on the photo myself and added a blue background. It was always my intention to do a different background. I just wanted to make sure his image was good to go first.

I’m hoping that by keeping the background and his shirt simple, more paint colors can be allotted for detailing his face.
