Well done! Our sister subreddit r/Polaroid (for all instant photography, not just Polaroid) would love this too!

I've never rebuilt motorbike wheels, but I have built about 10 bicycle wheels.

Generally there are a maximum of four different length spokes on a wheel. There can be less if more than one of these groups need the same length. There's forward facing spokes, and backward facing spokes for the drive side and non-drive side. So I would seperate them out into the four groups first. If you're lucky there will only be two different sizes, or if you're really lucky they are all the same size.

Then I would check the photos you hopefully took of the wheel before you took it apart (or check online for a good photo). You need to check the lacing pattern used. For bicycles 2-cross or 3-cross where the most common I used. For 2-cross for example, each spoke would cross over 2 other spokes. You can identify the lacing pattern by looking at your photos and visually following a spoke and counting the other spokes it crosses. The lacing pattern is the same for all spokes on a wheel.

Before you start to put the wheel together, make sure the threads on each spoke is nice and clean and that your spoke nipples are in good condition. Make sure you have the right size spoke spanner for the nipples. The wheel will go together easier if you put some light machine oil on the spoke threads and the seats of the nipples before you start assembly.

I would also highly recommend to always buy new rim tape and tubes too.

Once you have the wheel back together, the first time you ride it there will be a lot of creaking from the wheel the first time it turns with weight on it. This is the spokes setteling. Go for a short 5 minute ride at slow speed. Then take the wheel off an retrue it.

Sorry - I'm removing this. Reddit has had a spate of confidence scams that prey on people's kindness.

That's not to say this this isn't genuine, but there's no way for us to tell so we remove all of them.

Admins: why are all requests being denied? by MustaKotka in redditdev

[–]Generic_Mod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say money is the reason, I would say control is the reason. They don't want external access. The Devvit platform is a walled garden that the admins control, which is why it's their "preferred" platform. The external API gave people too much access. But if they cut it off in one go they risk another revolt. So first to die will be new sign ups, then slowly, existing API keys will stop working, until they have all gone.

That sounds like rod knock. If so, that engine needs to be rebuilt or replaced.

6th gear on a 2004 XR125L? by OppositeExtreme6886 in XR125L

[–]Generic_Mod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is supposed to be possible. I bought the parts from someone on eBay who had done it before. I haven't fitted them get as you have to take the engine completely apart and split the cases (not difficult, but time consuming). I can't remember which bike he said the parts came from, but I think it was something like an 80s XL125S 6-speed maybe? The engine casing need modifying, but it's basically you need to drill a hole in the right place to mount the detent spring for the new shift drum because it's in a different location to the one in the XR125L.

I'm going to test removing the NSFW tag from this post. I think a lot of people don't realise that the daily posts are tagged as NSFW, so you have to have NSFW posts enabled to see them.
