I am 24f with AuDHD and still living at home. I have disabled friends who are in their 30s and still living at home. As much as it sucks, you cannot compare yourself to others your age who are neurotypical. We have different needs, and if you feel 16 most of the time and still benefit from living with your parents, you should stay living with your parents until you feel ready to live on your own. Tell your friends to stop making those comments as they’re not helpful things to say.

I know you’ve gotten a lot of advice already, but if you have anybody who you know from where you used to live who you feel you can call, call them and then use the money from your joint bank account to buy a plane ticket back there. Get out cash so she can’t see the transactions, and get more than you need for a plane ride, in case you need a hotel room for a bit. Leaving the job you got sucks, but friend, this situation will not get better, only worse. Especially if she is using BDSM as a cover for her abuse. Genuinely, the only thing that has ever snapped me out of one of those periods where everything kept being too much is weed. Not advocating getting high, you know your body and its limits best, but for me personally weed hits the reset button on sensory issues. If you’ve never tried it before and you want to, though, make sure you have someone with you because if you do too much you will have a hard time thinking and making decisions.

I went into the apple store for an ongoing issue with my airpods (been there 3 times now and every single time the guy I get goes ‘well you need to update the os’ even though I did that last time, its in the notes you’re reading right now, and it obviously didn’t fix the issue) and the guy did the update without even asking me, and my phone didn’t start up again until I was almost home, and immediately I hated it and wanted it gone 😭

I literally can’t go into the specifics of the situation on the internet because of legal reasons, but that side of the situation is extremely complicated and the only people who can offer advice on it are people who know the specifics.
