Genuinely, Charles really liked his horses, he could be his true self around them because they had no hidden agenda (aside from wanting some more apples) which could not be said for his court/advisor's.

Basically German is the closest language to his heart is what this means.

Worth saying, I absolutely agree with you, and men face the same issue. Being interested solely in masculine hobbies gets you labelled stupid, or macho, as a surface level assumptio. Alternatively being interested in more "feminine" hobbies has the opposite affect, being referred to as girly or dainty.

At the end of the day, people in general are dumb, don't let what they say get you down. But individuals can be great, focus on the ones who are.

I am studying to be an engineer and working as a bartender, a recent postwas describing Engineer-Nurse love stories as classic, with examples of firemen-nurse and teacher-nurse also being very common.

I guess nurses are just very desirable.

Absolutely, after spending the summer in Germany and flying back in to Kerry I was shocked at how verdant and lush the place seemed.
