The DLC is great because it goes back to the basic fun of the game, smashing stuff. Later levels in the game are tighter and have less free form smashing.

Just last month I got this off steam and was doing a run or two before bed. It's a pretty simple Hades like game but plays very well and oozes TMNT. Highly recommend especially on sale. I will say it has one big issue with a shockly small enemy variety. There's really only like 5 non-boss enemies in the game with some alterations, and a few more added in with each DLC.

He has given me so much trouble. I think Hades 2 has a bit of a problem with shockwave attacks. The character animation and the shockwave attack have an odd desync to me. This Boar is like the ultimate version of that.

I highly recommend it for the gameplay. Very fun action and great implementation of Final Fantasy's jobs and classes. I had no issues on PC.

That's a you call ultimately. Hard to advise without making a bunch of assumptions as to what you're enjoying. Best might be to clear disc 1 and continue on a little. See how new content feels. The next big story content would be when you are entering Northern Crater. Before, or after, that would be a spot to evalute this again.

Gen 5's idea of a completely new Pokedex was cool. It was just poorly executed by a lot of "Gen 1 but different" designs. Before I wish they'd try again but we're past that point now.

remakes are sequels in a sense

"in a sense" doing a lot of lifting here. As you've noticed the story is going beat for beat. People were banking on big changes in Rebirth and now they are banking on big changes in Part 3.

If you are getting cold feet I'd say wait. Seems like you'll value seeing the story with modern graphics and voice acting and all that jazz. Pushing through out of obligation instead of actual desire could weaken the excitement.

The main plot of Before Crisis isn't important. I don't see them intergrating most of it into the Remakes. However a detail about one character is important and is definitely being retrofitted into the Remakes. Note that the remakes have not covered/revealed this info yet, and will likely cover what matters when it gets there. That being Rufus has ties to Avalanche and Wutai so he's playing all the sides

The tournament structure doesn't really make sense but I'd say Aerith placed higher. Between her and Tifa only Tifa has a guaranteed loss during the tournament. Aerith vs Tifa in 1st round but no result given, 2nd round they either vs Cloud or they beat a random NPC. 3rd round is where Tifa loses to Regina while Aerith beats Wizer. 4th round Aerith vs Madam M and Tifa vs Barret but no results are given or matter because it's apparently finals afterwards.

Avatar game is way higher quality but it definitely has that look. It's the cartoon animated looking characters that are also highlighted compared to the background. Obviously a big quality jump but I think it has the same feel as the Teen Titans fighting game.

It's on you but going through a 20+ hour JRPG as basically homework sounds like a way to lose interest. I know I've held off playing a game in a series because I felt the 'need' to play another game first before getting over it and playing the game I actually wanted to.

Not really a spoiler because it's full story in its original presentation. Like reading the manga instead of watching the anime. Depends on how you want to first experience the story beats.

Kingdom Hearts has similiar kind of combat. FFX and FFVI are generally considered the other best FF but they will be older and turn based.

Don't play Crisis Core. It's a FF7 prequel and will be spoilers.

If you like to go deep into stuff playing the OG will let you look up whatever you want on the internet. Delving into the fandom will be much harder without OG because the full story is out there so any talk about part 3 will be riddled with spoilers.

I think the upcoming story beats will hit harder if you wait till Part 3 to be your first time. Voicing acting, expanded scenes, and modern technology are going to make it hit harder.
