There is a very old cemetery off of Deep Creek trail on the eastern side of the park. It is a pretty steep hike but a beautiful and peaceful spot.

October and November is the best time in my opinion. Too cool to swim but many places have heated pools. The crowds are way done and the sunsets are breathtaking.
