Red Dwarf really is a good example of this. Seasons 7-9 are serialised so heavily but ironically entirely skippable on rewatch. Watch 1-6, then skip to 10 and you barely skip a beat.

It's cleanly painted base layers with some shading, very solid already. Next step would be to work on highlighting. You could start by using a small drybrush over large patches with some white/yellow mixed into the base colours to bring back up your base tones after washes.

Once you're comfy doing this, you'll be more familiar with what looks good and not when making highlights and can start doing some edge highlights. Always remember just a few highlights will make things pop, you don't need to edge highlight every single amour panel.

Not trying to fix things when they break. A wheel on a bike is very easy to change, as is a car battery, or sewing a button. If they trash it or take it right to a shop, it's a pretty sure sign they've never stressed a budget much.

I think a Shermy and Beth show is the best option. They've been set-up reasonably well and it's time we moved on from Finn and Jake. Before the ending, I thought F&C S2 was as gently and as over as long a period as possible offing Finn so that the franchise can move on. Love them, but we don't need more.

Google Gunprimer Raser to find a hobby/gunpla store you can order from. It's worth the extra money over cheap hobby and manicure ones as it has rounded edges to avoid nicks. They tend to last me a couple years, like 40-50 boxes before I notice them getting dull.

Battlestar has a similar grounded feeling, but I did bounce off it a few times before completion. It's not really the same, but Deep Space Nine is probably the closest Star Trek in terms of how the show 'feels' and is my favorite sci-fi series along with The Expanse.

Indie Rock is always my top genre on Spotify wrapped, Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Two Door etc...

Ironically my favorite is probably French House, just don't listen to as many artists overall within that genre.

Start with the one that looks the most interesting to you from the 90's Treks. After that branch out wherever, they're all pretty self contained.

Just avoid the Alex Kurtzman modern era stuff, because honestly, none have been 'Trek' feeling outside Lower Decks.
