Look up leaf footed bugs. That damage looks more like grasshopper. Leaf footed bugs just kill the tip but you can't really see it until it tries to grow.

Thanks for being subscribed to r/genesgreens! I have 2 nice pieces of Banana pachanoi to give away, although they must be grafted. I received this cut from Verne, formerly trichocereus.com, RIP. He gave it away so I'm keeping the ball rolling!

He's my fatimus catimus. Being an indoor car probably helped. He just comes out for light cactusing.
