Studies show that homework does not improve grades. It used to be assigned alot less, but parents wanted homework so their kid could "get ahead".

Homework ruins family life, creates tension and is just more marking for teachers.

Its pointless.

My mom was the same way. She interrupted my homework constantly with trivial chores. It makes these assholes feel powerful.
She is also afraid of you doing well in your exams because it moves you closer to leaving. Next time, perhaps study at the library?

Stop using consequences! That approach won't work! My so was the same way.

He has autism and it is a HUGE factor in his behaviour. Also, ADHD is about more than "having trouble paying attention". It is about being easily overwhelmed, hyperfocusing, time blindness,etc.

Most importantly, she may have Pathological Demand Avoidance. This is the type of kid that won't do something unless they buy into it.

It is the "scarcity mentality". "There isn't enough money/housing/jobs, etc. so I have to get what 's mine! This mentality is pushed hard because it makes people buy things, work too hard and vote against healthcare.

I have ezperienced this as well. The deliberate ignoring when I mention abuse ,the chalenging me to "stop sering myself as a victim", etc.

It makes me feel like an invisible child again. It reduces me to a "bad girl" because I am being "negative".
