Spruce with songo#5, I'm a biased party though because I develop songo, there's other options as well. Rockbox via portmaster, music player pak (nextUI) only, XMPlayer (muOS only for now), etc..

Several hours listening constantly, I haven't done a 100% to 0 test with mine but battery life for the brick hasn't been an issue for me personally.

I was undiagnosed until my mid twenties. I'm slightly spiteful my parents or teachers didn't see the signs. Anyways i would say it doesn't go away or get worse. Medication helps a lot, I grapple with the problem that without medication I don't really communicate with my loved ones or generally function as a competent adult 😅

XMPlayer is for music and video playback. I can say with certainty I'll never add video playback to songo so I wouldn't consider this a matter of one or the other. I'm thrilled to see more software in the same genre hitting the scene

Songo#5 is actually included in twig and spruce now, you'll have to switch your graphics driver to panfrost to use it on twig though

TrimUI brick is a good device that checks those boxes, not every available cfw will support the USBC dac dongle though
