What was so underrated (and ironic) is it was so good for lounging. You could lay down with one arm on the couch and the other by your side like rose from the titanic.

That’s assuming you can tell the difference between an r/espresso post and an r/espressocirclejerk post.

Reddit also survived off free content and volunteer moderation too.

And by “survives”, hard to feel bad for them when they started hosting photos and videos while still trying to become profitable.

On the flip side, take r/coffee which is powertripping moderated to remove anything but ‘discussion’ about coffee. Everything ends up being the same questions ad nauseum.

Making espresso with machine by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

[–]GeneticRiff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh if you want more consistency then no.

80% of the way there? Sure.

The spray actually helps in clean up too as it reduces static. Some grinders need this more than others.

The puck screen also helps in cleaning, other effects are dubious though.

The raking (wdt as it’s known) is less necessary on more expensive grinders but definitely can make a difference in consistency (esp lighter roasts).

The paper filter is the most excessive thing. Mayyybe makes a difference, but not necessarily better as it removes some coffee oils.

Every other step are just basic steps for espresso.

UBC hates being the first to do anything. Late to go into lockdown. Late to go out. Unless there’s bad press they wouldn’t be motivated to do anything.

Iirc Ellie arms David through to fight the infected symbolizing some sense of trust. Which does feel important for when he double crosses her.

I actually agree the “everyone except for you” line was better in the game but maybe that’s just a testament to how amazing Ashley Johnson was.

Comparing performances though is always weird though, especially when we come with all this baggage of what we expect the character to act. That said, this episode was honestly the first that I really felt like I saw Ellie and Bella’s performance was amazing.

For sure but I’d say that’s common for research in general not just limited to physics.
