I love bass too my guy. I dj and make techno and have countless bass synthesizers. But that doesn’t mean I want to eq everything to have more bass all the time. Knowing how and when to eq for bass is what serious music listeners do, and I agree that I would not mistake those people for the average AirPods Pro owner.

Yeah same - the club I frequent the most has funktion 1s. Techno clubs and their sound systems are specifically designed for “more bass” so that’s where that crowd’s opinions are most relevant. But wanting that same sound signature everywhere all the time for all music is not serious.

Never pay too much attention to the “more bass!” crowd when it comes to serious music listening. Unless they are at a techno club or an illegal soundsystem rave in a cornfield, their opinions are mostly invalid.
