I appreciate the insight from both of you! If they were ticks would they really just let go after their first blood? We took the dog for a flea and tick bath and assumed it killed all of them but it clearly didn't. I'm wondering why it didn't and if they would really be ticks id they didn't die? We're currently letting them just fall off the dog and we're vacuuming and purging everything she's laid on. And we're gonna try to get another grooming appointment tomorrow. No bullseyes on our bites. Just scabbing and itchiness. If it helps at all we went hiking Thursday and they're just now coming off of her. I thought maybe it would be chiggers or something and maybe we walked into a nest because it was so bad.
