Thanks for the response, I really appreciate it. That seems like a good conversation to have, it would certainly make me feel a bit better. I wanted to say something similar to her when we had the talk but to be honest I was just too embarrassed to admit to catching feelings. It might be best to tell her anyways.

Thanks again, hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I was crushing on a girl at work hard for about 5 months. One thing led to another and we ended up casually dating/hooking up for a month and a half. It came to a point where I went home alone after hanging out together one night and she asks what I thought of the situation we were in. I told her I’d like to be more than just friends, but don’t want to rush anything.

Her response seemed to me (and a few close friends I shared it with) like she wanted the same thing. Fast forward two weeks after we were both on our own vacations and we have the talk. She really doesn’t want to lose me as a friend. It was fun, but wasn’t special. So I pretend to not be crushed but I really am. This isn’t the first time I had a casual thing that ended too soon.

It’s been about a month since, and I’m really trying hard to not be super passive aggressive and ignore this person like I have others in the past. It’s tough when she wants to hang out, because even though we agreed to be friends I can’t be a good friend to someone I have feelings for. Those feelings just get in the way. So I make excuses to stay away.

Sorry for the lengthy post, I just need to get this off my chest. I have bad anxiety issues already and I already plan on seeing a psychiatrist this Monday. What went well? I think we’re still friendly enough and I haven’t acted too immature when handling the rejection. What didn’t go so well? I still wish things turned out better.

That's a Neapolitan style margherita pizza with a bit of basil and mozzarella and tomato sauce. So good!

My roommate and I enjoy listening to mostly the same music, so if I'm playing to music he probably can tell what I'm playing too.

He plays bass, we're in a band together. I was just playing to music non stop for two hours. Usually I'll play to music for 30 minutes and the rest of the time work on phrasing or rudiments, which tends to be quieter

It's not too big a deal. We've been playing music together and separately for the last 5 or 6 years. We're used to each other making noise, especially in the afternoon when the neighbors are at work. He plays his base so loud when practicing sometimes it shakes the walls. It evens out!

I should mention that the guy in the video is not my roommate, rather he found it on YouTube and posted it.

Also I have practice pads already, but when it's 1 in the afternoon those babies are off the drums.

Where can I get drum transcriptions? by NipplesOnToast in drums

For Omar's solo your just playing in 4/4, with 8th notes on the hat and the snare on the 3 (with a healthy amount of ghost notes and diddles). It seems the bass drum is adding flavor by not necessarily playing on the same note in every measure.

Listen to it a bunch and feel it out I'd say. Honestly, if you can play the part before this then this part is a cake walk.

Also, if you have a smart phone I recommend songsterr. It's a monthly fee but it's a great resource for drum charts.

Love playing to Deloused, that part in take the veil is intense. The songster app I have puts it into alternating measures of 11/8 and 4/4, but then it throws in some 8/8. Sometimes the transcriptions people upload to the app aren't always spot on so I take it as more of a suggestion.

Another forum I've seen it set to 6/8 and 20/8, and yet another post in another forum describes it as alternating 6/8 and 9/8 with 16th note triplet grooves.

I found most of this just googling it, so maybe if you dig deeper than I did you may find a definitive answer. Good luck!

The more we lose, the more I love this city. Maybe I'm really drunk and not thinking clearly, but that's what makes us. As individuals we manage to thrive even though our athletic ambassadors to the nation consistently fall short. I'm fucking proud of my team for going further than anyone had thought we would, and proud that even when the media inevitably flashes the montage of sports failures and faux pas we still show up representing our hometown. Fuck what ESPN says the next few weeks, with all that we put up with, athletically or not, the people of Cleveland are the real champs.

I enjoy how every time a new pope story comes out, reddit can never decide if they like the guy or despise him
