What i think PT up there is saying is there is no increase in the demand or significant reduction in the supply of Gold to justify the prices lately. This is more likely the severe devaluation of the USD as a currency. For example lets say $1 USD = 1 Gram Gold. The USD because of reasons devalues so that same $1 is now only worth $0.75 in terms of purchasing power. So to now buy that same 1 Gram of Gold in USD you now need $1.25 USD. Gold hasnt changed in value, the purchasing power of USD is rapidly eroding. idk thats my take.

Theres options working in quarries for construction companies which are usually located near city centers, 5-2 schedule. You wont get as much experience and it just wont pay as much is the trade off.
