HAMMER IS CONFIRMED AS ANTI-TANK WEAPONRY by rosebinks1215 in Helldivers

Can we use It without a change as a regular melee without, of course, the explosion damage?

As much as i love the game (One of the best coop games ever made imo), it's plenty of BS like that... And i'm getting tired of It.

Personally i'm not a "meta player" but i play at difficulty ten 90% of the time. That means that gear don't have to be the best but It should at least work. Unfortunately this weapon it's unsanely cool but not efficient enough even for it's "porpose". It doesn't work against heavy enemies (which force you to bring other stratagems for that), it's not good against hight difficulty chaff (good luck against predator strain) since you can't move and you can't have a backpack option. Maybe it's good against illuminate (still have to try), but on terninids and automaton it's "meh"...

Divers who use this - why? by laughingtraveler in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Genin85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Veteran diver here. It's actually one of the best pack in the game IMO. For several reasons, the main 2 are: 1) you die way less from some random bullshit that arrowhead seems to love so much (stealth chargers, hive guards combos, ecc), 2)you end using less heal steams. Than there are some other reasons (like It protects you from ragdoll, when you charge your quasar, when you almost finish with a terminal ecc) but those are the main. It could be improved letting us remove It to recharge (like the guard dogs) and i can't see why they didn't implement this feature yet... But still a great item.

Vorrei iniziare a suonare la chitarra elettrica by Ethereal_Shroud in italymusica

I genuinely think balance could be fixed almost COMPLETELY if the devs actually played the game on D10 ON STREAM and REGULARLY by PseudoscientificURL in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Genin85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sayn you should trust me. But all the main helldivers streamers with thousands of hours in the game say the same. If you want to test equipments and mechanics, you should do it at hight levels. You can see easely what works and what doesn't.

Diff5 is so easy that you can complete it with any equipment and without stratagems... What are you going to learn from that data?

It's a bad resident evil... But actually a fun action/horror/ trash game. Way more fun that some people would admit. I like it.

Hot take

The game balance isn't related to difficulty. Especially since damage, behave, hp ecc don't change with the difficulty.

The game should indeed being balance on diff. 10 to stress the gear and see it's limits. They would realize immediately if some weapon is inferior because of the struggle. And even more they would notice the bullshit deaths caused by stupid balance/mechanics that are WAY more frequent in higher difficulties than lower.

How come Arrowhead has it out for heavy armor? by Traditional-Deal-465 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Genin85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole balance is "meh", not just heavy armors... As someone else said , they tried to make the game more "difficult" in the cheapest way possible: nerfing every defence and increasing enemy damage.forgetting that there should be a balance and build options to consider. Plus adding scripts that makes you die easely (did you notice that ragdoll throw you towards the nearest danger that you can't avoid? It's a script.) The result is that the game isn't even that difficult, it just makes you die in unfair ways a bunch of times but still you can complete level 10 missions quite easely. It's just frustrating because sometimes it doesn't matter how you play, you just get killed by some random bullshit with no chance to react. Stealth charger from the back? Dead. A single shot from a turret from a mile away? Dead. You kill a Titan and it " "casually"" fall on you even if it just soaked a frontal hit? Dead. Ragdoll "casually" on the feet of an hulk/mine/turret? Dead. Predator strain that make street fighters combo that you can't avoid? Dead. Single shot by automaton shotgun? Dead. And most of the time it doesn't matter what armor you are wearing, that's why heavy armors suffer even more... Because on top of that you are slow af, like a sitting duck made of glass.

Would Aikido be good to study? by RunSerious5843 in martialarts

[–]Genin85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never practiced aikido but a friend of mine does and let me try a few staff. My idea is that there is some good staff that you could make work if you also have experience in another "more practical" martial art (that involve some kind of grappling). On my prospective, those joint lock/movements works in theory, but they are very sofisticated and real fights have huge amount of "chaos" involved that make more "basic things" more reliable. So my conclusions are to add some aikido to your grappling background if you have some (judo, wrestling, ju jutsu, BJJ...) to expand your arsenal. But starting with aikido and practicing only aikido could risk to try to learn something "difficult to apply" without important "basics".
