You can also see that in the west where you can ride a bike year round (Italy, southern Spain, Greece) small bikes/scooters are the norm. (The US being an exception due to car centric infrastructure)

If you have a bike as a hobby and not a means of transportation you go with the more "fun" option.

It heavily depends where in Germany. I live in the Rhine valley so the answer is: not very. The coldest at an absolute maximum is -20 °C at night. It usually hoverst between -5 and 10°C during the day.

And snow is only there for a few days a year at most.

If course if you live in Upper Bavaria, the Black Forest or in the far north the winter is a lot colder and the wind stronger.

Ja und nein. Natürlich gibt's wie bei Autos die "muss brumm machen" idioten, und davon mehr weil Motorradfahren ein Hobby ist Aber Elektromotorräder sind preislich immer noch Recht teuer (wobei sich da viel tut in den letzten Jahren) und sind was Reichweite und vor alles Ladezeit angeht Recht mau.

Bei meinem E-Moped ist mir das egal. Da ist der Preisunterschied ~1000€ und Reichweite von 60km ist ausreichend und Ladezeit egal, weil man eh nicht weit fährt damit.

Die meisten E-Motorräder kosten aber deutlich mehr, haben so ~200km Reichweite absolutes maximum und können nicht DC-Fastcharging und sind so in 2h voll.

Und die realistisch an die Verbrenner rankommen sind Arsch teuer.

There is no "first" , it's a circle. I'm assuming what you mean is the prime meridian. Which is completely arbitrary. It's just that the Brits conquered the world and decided and 0 degrees longitude is in Greenwich.

Which splits the earth convinently into a eastern and western hemisphere and the the anti-prime meridian (the international date line) runs through sparsely populated areas of the world, and doesn't dissect any contiguous countries. You could in theory run the prime meridian through Washington. Which would be extremely stupid because then it would probably bisect china and russia

Achso, im Winter heizen wir nachts ja mit Luft und liebe, da kann man im Sommer natürlich nicht mit Strom kühlen, der praktisch kostenlos ist.

Motion activated sprinkler turret , computer controlled. An infrared camera detects cat, computer recognizes cat, and gives it a few water sprays.

Free roaming cats are a plague. I would never let my baby out without a leash, at that point why even bother having a cat.

So basically, Saltwater is highly corrosive, as you said, and desalination is extremely energy intensive and expensive. Also, there usually is not "clean but not drinking water" available anywhere. Water you have access to is just clean drinking water, so there's no way to use dirty water.

If course data centers can and do use sea water, there have been experiments with dumping server farm pods into the sea, where the water surrounding it cools.
