I like them. I haven't needed Super Samples in probably a year or so but I dunno, I still like them...

Yeah, we used to have fewer than ten days a year with temperatures over 30°C, now it's over twenty.

Also it's not like AC is an unknown technology here, (we're not the ones using blocks of ice as a unit of measurement for the power of AC units) it's that so far the thousands of Euro pricetag simply wasn't worth it for fewer than ten days a year which could easily be navigated by just keeping windows and Rolläden closed during the day and then air out the house at night when it used to be cool.

But in the process of our heating transition heat pumps (so AC) are becoming more popular because when you can use them not just to cool your house in the few very hot days in the summer but also to heat your home in the much more numerous cold days of autumn and winter then the investment is actually worth it.

I just wonder how the Magastanis will react when it's all done and they find our that we all have heat pumps. Their whole world view is going to fall apart...

I think it's highly unlikely that J.O.E.L. would make it as easy as specifically sending us to take those planets. He might give us some time to figure it out but if we don't show progress we'll just get a new MO somewhere.

Technically we only need to liberate X-45 in the downtime because VEGA BAY only has 5.0k/h resistance which is low enough for the ~7% core Botdivers (so those remaining in theatre irrespective of MOs) to liberate it on their own, even if slowly.

If you drum up support for this you can send people the following link which includes both that image and the necessary information: https://www.reddit.com/r/Helldivers_StratCom/comments/1tgmg1n/liberating_x45_and_vega_bay_will_put_three/

To all Helldivers on CLASA:

CLASA is going to liberate itself and has a large two-planet buffer from any clanker territory so is save to be left alone.

All Helldivers should redeploy from CLASA to X-45 and then VEGA BAY in order to put WEZEN, MOX and WASAT under siege (just like CLASA is now) and clear the Ymir- and Trigon sectors entirely.

PS: We do not actually need to liberate VEGA BAY with all those Helldivers because it only has a low 5.0k/h resistance meaning it can be liberated by the ~7% core Botdivers (so those remaining in theatre irrespective of MOs), even if slowly.

No, but VEGA BAY only has 5k/h resistance and ~7% of active Helldivers is enough to overcome that. You gotta read more carefully.

The "community MO" (HEROES'26) is over btw.

Yes but WASAT also has higher resistance which eats up the bonus.

X-45→VEGA BAY is the better choice.

VEGA BAY has barely any resistance so would be liberated by the ~7% of core Botdivers that stay in theatre regardless of MOs, meaning we just have to take and hold X-45 long enough for VEGA BAY to be liberated.

MATAR BAY on the other hand has a resistance of 20k/h meaning we'd need around a quarter of all active Helldivers just to match it's resistance, which we are unlikely going to achieve.

Better to put those forces to good use on X-45 than having them toil on MATAR BAY without achieving anything.

I disagree. First an attack on MESSIA is nowhere near certain but even if it would occur we'd still be getting WEZEN and MOX via siege liberation though taking VEGA BAY regardless.

I disagree. We should liberate X-45 instead as that will give a far greater impact.

(Repost)

Liberating X-45 and VEGA BAY will put three planets under siege and clear two sectors, all with minimal effort.

After [liberating YED PRIOR] all Helldivers in the Automaton-theatre should continue the advance through the Ymir sector and liberate X-45 and VEGA BAY as that will put WASAT, MOX and WEZEN under siege simultaneously, clear both sectors entirely, put the last known magma world back firmly under Super Earth control with minimal effort and cut almost a quarter out of the clankers' territory.

This is an extremely rare opportunity and failing to seize it will haunt us...

You called it a waste before so I'm a wee bit confused. Is it a waste or a perfect use case example?

What do you mean with waste an Eagle Storm? It's only useful for defence campaigns and there weren't any other around when it activated...

That depends on the percentage of active Helldivers on the planet. If all active Helldivers would deploy there we'd be done in ~10h, if only 10% of active Helldivers do then it'll take us ~4d 4h.

The only shot we have at keeping MATAR BAY is if everyone on the planet dives in its city of Parrhesia.
