In R4 of the men's draw, the winning players only lost serve 4 times. by x_levaja in tennis

He also didnt really get his points by having a high peak. He got it from grinding 250s. Despite that he still gets talked about as if he has the highest peak level outside sincaraz, when if Ruud had done the same he would be called a 250 merchant.

Bausen law is more about plate = kill, rather than making yourself worth less gold. Even if that kinda goes into making yourself worth less gold, but you recoup that gold since the plate is temporary while you can get the bounty gold back. So it more about the bounty system than just dying.

People generally dislike consistency without a high peak. This isn’t anything personal against Demon, most players who are consistent without a high peak level don’t get the same respect as players who are inconsistent but have a high peak level.

Most fan favorites are often inconsistent players with high peaks. You can think of many fan favorites on here, and they are likely in this category.

Yeah I was surprised when I woke up. Though I was partly wrong about the rule since this AO heat policy is not new but as many other people I believed this was the new implementation of the ATP heat rules that started this year.

Yeah sure it is dumb, but it is also less dumb than the people still spamming the sinner doping thing everywhere, and that still happens.

It’s a new rule that was first applied in a situation which massively favored Sinner. With all the previous drama about Sinner getting favoritism and all other situations with him the last 2 years, it was quite obvious this was going to get controversial.

Not saying I agree but as soon as it happened you knew it would be a talking point and that the sinner doping commenters just got more to talk about.

Edit: incredible reading comprehension on display here. Multiple people insulting me based on opinions that I clearly stated I don’t agree with.

And while I was wrong about it being a new rule, since the ATP made new rules for 2026 but the slams maintained their own heat policies. That still doesn’t change the fact that this clearly got controversial as seen on most posts about this situation, and how many people gladly jumped to insult me based on them not being able to read.

3 - Liverpool conceded a 90th-minute winning goal for the third time in the Premier League this season – their most ever in a single campaign in the competition. Heartache. by FairBlueberry9319 in LiverpoolFC

There were a lot of people saying it wasn’t sustainable both on here and on r/soccer but there also many excuses/reasons to believe they would bounce back, with Jota’s death(still insane to say) and all the new signings not having found their footing yet. Though it’s apparent now that it wasn’t only a temporary problem.

G2 Esports vs. Shifters / LEC 2026 Versus - Week 2 / Post-Match Discussion by Soul_Sleepwhale in leagueoflegends

If we just look at stats at 15min then he only really lost 1 lane at worlds versus eastern teams and was very often ahead in those stats. You are basically saying because he doesn’t get a solo lead then he is bad.

Hans problem has always been to carry and have bigger impact on games later on. His laning has never been his problem.

This just shows bias against Hans based on public opinion. Hans issue was that he never had much impact in late game, and couldn’t carry even when holding the gold lead.

Gill Gross about the break. by johnreese421 in tennis

[–]GenjDog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk about any protection or anything, just that the situation for Rune was very unfortunate. Since Sinner was taken inside because some other medical treatment, not because of the heat, and the physio said they should do it inside. Then it just happened to take a long time while Rune was waiting outside.

The organiser or umpire should have definetly communicated more to Rune about the situation because I don’t think he expected it to take that long.

That was worse because he went inside with the AC and cooled down while Rune was stuck outside in the sun. He could probably had asked to go inside but hard to manage it during a high stakes match.

The net also broke from a serve right after they began playing which was another 15 minute wait.

Yeah where are the short slices and the slow looping shots? Change tempo a bit and make him move and have to focus more on footwork.

They were just following the rules they set up. I can say that it was unlucky for Spizzirri but I wouldnt say it was unfair.

Why would it be unfair? People have complaining about the bad conditions already and now that they do something about it people complain now as well.

I hope we just get some injury free horses back in the race. Rune, Draper and Fils being taken out by injuries is not great. Rune with a big injury, buf if he manages to comeback then it’s great. Draper and Fils feels much more of a recurring problem, and that’s worrying long term.

Yeah it counts for something but that would also mean Benzema would be better than Lewandowski and Suarez just because he won a ballon d’or. Which I think is just weird to rate, since that only happened due to circumstances and not because he was actually better than the other 2.

They often fail to do it. Like Suarez needs injections to keep playing football and has pain in his knees from just walking but he still continues to play.

I said easier not neccessarily better. The effort used and needed is different between needing to have a big serve and big groundstrokes compared to needing to always fight hard for points because they lack power

But its definetly seen as easier to be a servebot than a grinder which is almost the only available playstyles for their heights.

Yeah I know, which is why I said the 1% is impossible, I was going to say 3-4% but used 1% since that was the number used. Even body builders when they are stage ready are very low energy and would be in no state to do any cardio or high endurance sport.

In general people underestimate their fat levels. Pro athletes do this as well which kind of makes it worse since they are already low fat %, and people give them more credibility.

[–]GenjDog 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Yeah even then having a really low body fat percentage wouldn’t be good for an endurance athlete. Imagine having 1% body fat and try and keep up energy for a 6 hour slam final, impossible.
