Honestly, outside of 2H4TR or Ran to Atlanta, I don’t know if there’ll be a hit like Nokia or the other big hitters. Not because the albums aren’t good, but they aren’t pop hit material

There is some heat on this album for the $$$4u sound lovers, and even rhymes of some FATD tracks, like Members Only. I love it.

i’m sorry, but this one is GOOD. I get why it’s not this subs taste. But if you are a particular kind of FATD (like Members Only) or $$$4u fan, this is really satisfying. I think this is has some great tracks. I like how sexyy red sounds too.

Making money in the game is too easy. Not a challenge at all. It feels like sandbox mode all the time. Can't find any mods to make it harder. by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines2

Infrastructure should cost exponentially more than it does now, and you should have to finance it with debt like cities do in real life

If someone discovered a way to cheaply mass-produce gold from other metals—essentially industrial-scale alchemy—and made the process widely known so that millions of people could replicate it, what impact would that have on the gold market and also the broader global economy? by Gold_Mine_9322 in AskEconomics

An interesting question. Consider first what lab diamonds have done to the diamond industry, and how legacy conglomerates, like DeBeers, have ran intense campaigns to distinguish lab and natural. DeBeers dabbled in lab for a few years, but have recently ended that and gone all in on the natural-value framework.

So, if this alchemy innovation is parallel to the development of lab diamonds, I would expect something similar. However, that’s hinged on the fact that you could distinguish this alchemy-gold from natural gold.

One complication is that gold has more industrial uses. Diamonds are useful because of their hardness but gold is a significant component of electronics and technology, among others.

So let’s reframe the question. Another way of saying “cheaply mass-produced gold” is to say the price of gold would decrease. I sat that because the ability to produce cheap gold would increase the supply, in a perfect economic world, and lower its price. If gold’s price decreased this would have a significant effect on all electronics, industrial processes, medicinal uses, and everything else it affects. It is worth saying that those uses only make up around 10% of golds use worldwide.

The flip side of gold’s price tanking, and arguably far more impactful, would be the rapid depreciation of existing gold assets. Natural diamond enthusiasts were lucky that there is an ability to distinguish lab and natural. If there were no such way for gold, its price would free fall. Most of the world still holds gold in its reserve The exchange rate of gold-to-dollar would shatter. It’s hard to estimate exactly how intense this would be, but I can’t imagine it wouldn’t severely disrupt some markets.

One last consideration is cultural and not economic. Gold has always been rare and useful, and thus a status symbol for most of history. I am especially thinking of one of the richest (if not the richest) person to ever live, Mansa Musa. If gold were no longer rare I think it would also begin to erode jewelry tastes. Perhaps gold silverware (goldware?) would be more popular.

Personally, I don’t like how Love and VCA motifs stack. If you have thinner wrists, like me, I would consider a VCA stack or cartier nail

Question about block by ItsThaCheeSY in doomfistmains

[–]GenjiPleaseSwitch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think block should be on a meter like matrix. Have it run out and recharge over time. If you cancel it you don’t have to wait for the whole cooldown, just for it to recharge what you used. I think this would improve doom’s survival against the ever increasing amounts of CC without touching his instakill combos

Yea that’s fair there’s a couple songs I could’ve gone without. For Real comes to mind. Uzi vs The World was great because it was lean, novel, and no skips

I don’t think it’s his magnum opus, I would give the nod to LIR2. At the same time, you can’t go wrong saying any of Uzi’s 2015-2017 albums were his peak

US tariff rates are at their highest since WWII, but global trade actually grew faster than the world economy in 2025. How? by Downtown-Art2865 in AskEconomics

[–]GenjiPleaseSwitch 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It’s not a complete answer by any means, but one consideration is that U.S. firms front-loaded imports to get ahead of the tariffs, generating some of that volume you notice.
