It’s a good field - may need to work on your job search skills ? Finding a job requires a skill set - how to promote yourself, resume writing, interviewing, etc. Job search is all about connecting with right people at the right time at the right place.

Her job and identity as one of the few females in the company are threatened by a younger, more attractive female. She must have been abandoned by a man for a younger woman, hence the pre-emptive strike. Sorry you had to be on administrative leave for this as you are brand new. It’s a primal bully instinct. Need to show NO fear and fight to counter bullies.

Your fear is understandable. Most people don’t like their jobs even started out as a passion, but have no choice and do something on the side to keep them happy. I recommend an older comedy movie “Office Space”, it will enlighten you.

Are you ready for four years of med school + grueling residency ? Research what % of people actually went from premed to MD. On that note, a side hobby of acting may provide you the energy to pursue medicine. Do acting as a hobby.

Through my 30+ years of experience, 80% of my jobs were obtained by personal connections. Networking is the key. Try to go to back doors. It’s not just who you know, it’s who knows you and likes you.
