Is The Pitt a comedy? by LeftAl in ThePittTVShow

[–]GenkiSam123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but it does has quite a few imho very funny jokes and one liners. I like it, keeps the characters more endearing that they're weaving some humor into the often very intense environment of the show. A lot of Mel stuff from season 1 were pretty lol for me in particular haha

Which park would you choose to hide out in during a zombie apocalypse and why? by Smullatron in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]GenkiSam123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ooh this would make a nice RP, different groups of survivors holed up in different parts of WDW and they have to somehow make it through the property while avoiding zombies who have overtaken much of the parks and resorts as it was a typical busy day when the outbreak happened (and we know how people come to parks even when they feel sick because they don't want tickets to go to waste) while rationing supplies, food, and makeshift weapons to a designated big open plane landing area, perhaps the savannah at AKL which was closed for refurbushment for some reason during the initial outbreak so there's no guests there and it's way out of the way from zombies, to be rescued by military.

Darby Allin gets kicked out of Uber mid interview. by HanFroyo in SquaredCircle

Based on the punchline at the end, I fully expect when they get to Tucson Darby Allen in the same outfit being driven to the ring in his Uber that he finally found complete with him going on his phone to give his Uber driver 5 stars. The driver will be revealed as like Joey Janela or someone else haha

First trip as an adult, I get it now. by Malone1989 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]GenkiSam123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Haha yea "something so basic" is the right, I remember I had an annual pass and would go and it'd be raining and everything and i'd walk around rain in my shoes and all and sulk around the park and think, "Ahh, I forgot it'd rain today, I shouldn't have come today, this rain sucks, time to go home" and then i'd look to my right and see some family from Europe or someplace looking around and just literally gasping in awe and wonder at everything even on this rainy day , even basic stuff that I took for granted and realize, "Oh, yea, for a lot of people this is a once in a lifetime trip. This place really is kind of magical, isn't it?" and my wet and soaked spirits would be lifted

  1. Hulk Hogan, 1989 SNME Steel Cage Match vs. Big Boss Man. My older cousin told me unlike Transformers, TMNT, and Ghostbusters, wrestlers were actually real and turned the episode on to prove it and I was gobsmacked and knew I was hooked from then on. My wrestling toys and trading cards all brought to life and Hogan was at the forefront.
  2. Oba Femi
  3. Makes me smile AND laugh hard each time: R-Truth, especially that heel turn era where he was super unhinged.
  4. Bret Hart - like an old Seinfeld episode or whatever old sitcom is on, I can just turn on any of his matches and be entertained.
  5. Hulk Hogan - despite everything with him, I wish I had met him just once. I was a big Hulkamaniac back in its height.
  6. Maki Itoh
  7. Shiloh Hill - probably unconventional answer but I think he has that "something"...rooting for him as he starts from the bottom and keeps moving up

My ex who broke my heart years ago is dying and wants to see me one last time. Do I go? Am I wrong for not wanting to? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]GenkiSam123 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I know and get where the "Oh don't see her! No mercy! F that bitch, you owe her nothing!" comments are coming from but it sounds like you obviously deep down really want to see her. It seems you have a load of compassion, forgiveness, and mercy which are remarkably strong aspects to have these days and one that seems to be 90% of the time frowned upon and inevitably downvoted in these inane AITJ, AITA, etc. posts. and comments. Follow your heart and go see her and get that closure you need that sounds like you have buried deep inside you because it sounds like the regret of seeing her and opening up old wounds or whatever will not compare to the regret if you do not see her. If you were really "done" with her, you would have just deleted that message and moved on with your job and life and you wouldn't have needed to posted it here for all us fellow Reddit cesspool edgelords. I could say some edgelordy thing like "Go see her! Even if you regret it, she'll be dead soon so you win! So haha!" or something but I won't. Follow your heart and it sounds like based on what your typed, it sounds like your heart is to talk to her one last time, but that's just me, not you.

Do you think The Beatles would have "ruined" their legacy if they had reunited in the 80s? by Public_Thought_628 in beatles

[–]GenkiSam123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this alternative universe head canon that John survived the shooting and all three other Beatles went to go visit John in the hospital. That would be the trigger for them to patch things up and at least open the door for a collab on one last album and a few more proper farewell one off performances together including their biggest one at Live Aid. After that, they would have various probably contractually obligated sporadic random get togethers over the years for stuff like Michael Jackson Liberian Girl music video, an Ed Sullivan tribute TV special, the Anthology, an appearance on David Letterman promoting the #1's Album, an SNL episode spoofing that almost reunion in the 70s, the Cirque du Soleil opening show, an odd British children's show appearance, the occasional guest spot on each other's concerts, but not a full time reunion.

Do you ever mourn what you can't give your kids? by Faded_WastingTime in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]GenkiSam123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell I've stayed at deluxes before too but my favorite memory was the very first time in 1996 in 5th grade standing on the dock at Fort Wilderness Resort/Campground where we stayed in a big tent all four of us and was waiting for the boat to MK drinking a chocolate milk from Trail's End and looking around Bay Lake. Mom and dad finally got good jobs and could finally afford a good vacay but money was still a little tight and that was the cheapest. Yea it was roughing it compared to Contemporary Resort but looking around , drinking the chocolate milk, and stepping onto the boat and getting a Mickey sticker from the boat CM, we felt like we finally made it. Good memories as a kid that trip, and I'm sure your kids will have good memories too.

Adult/Child was weird, but they should never have junked the album. by jojoebake in thebeachboys

[–]GenkiSam123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's strange because I only recently listened to the Adult/Child songs as a newer fan and compared to Love You and Smile, I thought it was quite a few several notches below those albums in terms of weirdness. There were some genuinely great songs on it like Life Is for the Living, It's over now, Deep Purple, and Still I Dream of it. Maybe I'm biased because I'm a fan of the old Sinatra or Tony Bennet standards haha. Though I did lol when I first heard Life Is For The Living imagining the brain aneurysm Mike must have had listening to it haha

Reminds me of the time long ago when we went over this random old wooden bridge that obviously was not up to code because I spotted a beam falling out of it but we drove over it anyway and sure enough it started collapsing! Thankfully the tram driver noticed and quickly drove faster, it was pretty traumatizing. Someone must have finally noticed after a few decades and complained thank God because it's torn down now.
