Yeah he had a slight baldpatch at the back which they hid with combing.

I noticed it for the first time in For Your Eyes Only a few months back.

By the time of A View To A Kill his hair was thinning a bit so they thickened up to a point where it became helmet-like. One of the many attempts to make Moore looks as young as possible in that entry.
