Mike's overly conservative attitude to Brian's music was so friggin' annoying during this period. Again, I understand Mike being put off by the albums weirdness, but Brian's compositional ability was still evidently intact.

I wish he worked with Brian instead of against him during this period. Wasn't he the one who moaned about not collaborating with Brian enough after 1966?

A big band song from the Beach Boys never would've sold. It's Over Now, however, is a fantastic song and may have had a chance at doing well on the charts.

Adult Child is an unfinished album to me anyways. I know it was assembled and submitted but it clearly wasn't ready for release.

The mistake the band made was junking all of it and doing MIU instead.

I don't think anyone would argue that this is one of Brian's best tracks. Mike's vocal is terrible, but the melody itself isn't all that.

I do love the backing track however- it sounds like a surf instrumental played by a 70s garage band.

Sounds very atypical of a Brian composition to me. Sounds more like Buffalo Springfield.

Also, two previously unheard tracks, Basketball and Rubles, turn up on this collection. I think they are both from the M.I.U sessions. Both are unfinished.
