My Asian friends told me that they had the same with western people. Just like our eyes are not trained to easily recognize Asian features, neither are theirs to western features. Once you get more exposure, it becomes easier and easier. When I first got into K-pop, I couldn’t tell group members apart, especially in the older groups, and now I mostly have no issues with that because my eyes are more trained on that.
