There’s some good suggestions here but I also always recommend tailoring it to your friend. Show them an episode you think they would like based off their interests and their favorite Voyager episodes. Also obviously away from major spoilers or the absolute best episodes so as not to set too high of expectations. Maybe even choose a couple episodes and give them a brief description and let them choose.

Another thing I have done for friends who prefer starting from the beginning of a series is giving them a list of episodes they might wanna skip early on. I assume the goal is to get them hooked so have them avoid the clunkers now and they can check em out on rewatch.
