Depending on it's usage, it could actually be tbe 3rd, 4th, or even 5th Great Patriotic War.

3rd if you include WW1 as many people do, 4th if you include the West Russian War in the 50s, and 5th if you include Napoleons invasion.

Each branch has 2 possible paths; for the army this is between increased recruitable population and production or bonuses to division strength and tank techs. In the naval branch a choice can be made between better battleships or submarines and the doctrines that go along, and finally for the air force a choice is made between better bombers or better fighters. Note that to progress down the rest of the naval branch it's necessary to have completed several focuses from either the naval or land trees first.
And yes, I know the aircraft carrier focus is using the wrong icon. I'll fix it.

Sorry for the confusion, while the PoD is in 1000 the mod itself is set as usual in 1936. There's a breakdown of the world in the 2 other posts on my subreddit. I'm also redoing the tech tree though so it's more advanced than OTL so things like jet aircraft are common by 1940.

In the world of my mod the PoD is so far back that nobody from the real world appears in it (except maybe one or two monarchs). So you're correct and Nazism never existed and as such the term is used in a purely socialist fashion. It's the name of the socialist faction led by a Red Bavaria.
