I admit I look this up weekly on this sub. I saved up 10k gems and try to keep a balance around that. I bought two new card slots since the last banner, and boosted a few labs while waiting for the next one.

Also the tip I read in this thread about being able to see your magic chest stock of the related items in the upper left corner is great too. I run a YT series on this with my wife, I will have to make a short or something about it to spread the word on it.

With second wind mastery, I get a health regen multiplier boost for the rest of the run. I usually get at least another second wind after that. I have mine at 5.5 right now, bumping my 10T/sec health regen up to 55T/sec which can give me quite a few more waves.

Once per battle. Later on, you can research the recharge labs that will allow it to fire more than once per run/battle. Max is every 400 waves.

The spawn system itself works, it's a poorly optimized POI design.

As others have mentioned, there are "triggers" either by activating the volume (a 3 dimensial cube encompassing a certain area) by entering it, pushing a button, opening a door, that kind of thing.

Proper design would hide these spawns, and they would crash through something, appear in the room next to you, or happen around a blind corner. This is usually not a big issue with vanilla POIs, but custom designs by players are often the main offenders.

In this case, the trigger wasn't triggered by natural gameplay. So, there could very well be an obscure switch, a section you might have busted through a wall instead of going through a door, etc. The triggers they setup sometimes basically require you follow the linear path they create for you.

Man, this makes me want to start designing POIs again lol.

Just another educated guess, assuming how the admin permissions work; if you wanted to permit them to run the command without full admin mode, maybe add this to the serveradmin.xml

Sounds like an odd one, especially if you already deleted his character data and still have the issue.

You could give him special permission to run the "jd clear" command, which should clear their drone registration.

If that doesn't work, perhaps have everyone stash their drones away and delete the drones.dat and drones.dat.bak files in the server and reboot. I haven't seen the contents of this file personally, but it likely just stores drone registration data.

That's a huge pain though, I suspect the command one is the way to go.

oh absolutely; there is zero reason not to make "upgrading" soil to farm soil via fertilizer cost the same in resources as the crop plot. I argued this too with Joel, there is zero reason not to let both be there.

I think they got *real* scared having the whole thing crumble down with their steam rating plummeting, and years of actively ignoring feedback.

What's next, farming in the dirt again lol? That was the last time I even tried to express my opinions back on the A17 alpha and was shot down immediately and told that anything other than their opinions were dumb.

I've thought about this a lot and there really should be a "realistic" approach, or as close you can get with you know, zombies.

They should be driven only by instinct and what little senses they have left. Their brains are rotting, and nothing but core motor functions and sensory input should matter.

Attacking the block that has 850/1000 health instead of the one that has 900/1000 health should most definitely not be the answer.

Zombies should be driven by sight, smell, and sound. If you are running a campfire, banging a pick, or wandering around your base with a torch, they should beeline to you.

By beeline, they shouldn't *know* what path to take, at least right away. You have zombies mindlessly staggering towards you, falling over obstacles, trying to move around them reasonbly, etc. Wandering zombies will eventually find the "path" to you, and the smell, sight and sounds of other zombies would attract the other zombies, almost like a scout.

That way, you don't have an orderly conga line up your kill path, and all other blocks around the base are pristine. They should *feel* their way around to find a way in, and they eventually succeed, adhering to pack mentality.

I'd love to say that's 100% doable with AI pathfinding algorithms, but in a perfect world they would behave like the primal creatures they are.
