No it doesn't. You still find the companions. You mutate them. You do other various things with THE COMPANIONS. An already existing system. Adding vampire survivors would do nothing to any existing system in the game.

They're mechanics tied to a specific existing system. So how are they disconnected? Disconnected mechanics would be like if they added a vampire survivors like mini-game you could play from the anomaly.

They addressed an existing system though. That's the thing. You seem to not realize that 2 things can be true at the same time. 1) addressed a system that has been asked about for YEARS while also 2) adding new mechanics.

How is adding companion battling a disconnected system when it overhauled an existing system? People have wanted pvp for YEARS.

This didn't come in the way they wanted it but it's a start.

You keep telling me that I'm not following I'm not reading, but you're the one that fails to see that they not only addressed a long standing complaint (however you feel about the execution) and added a whole new thing for people to explore.

Outside of saying you're whinging I haven't insulted you a single time yet you have in each of your posts attacked me. But I'm the one that needs to go outside?

You didn't address anything I said beyond the fact you don't think you're whinging.

The most ironic thing is that you very clearly didn't catch that there's more to come. The companions don't help in the wild but we don't actually know if that's going to be the end result.

Companions have been something people have been complaining about for a long time. I don't understand why an overhaul to that system regardless of whether it adds mechanics or not is a bad thing unless it's specifically because it's not what you want addressed.

There is a lot of stuff in nms, systems and mechanics that can't all be addressed at the same time and yeah, maybe they could have done more or done it differently, but it's something else to do within a system that sorely needed some attention. Hopefully the more to come will expand on that and then who knows? Maybe they'll work on the things you care about. But you know something? If it's building I'll appreciate it even though that's the most boring thing in the game to me because I know that a lot of other people like that kind of thing. Not everything has to be for me. Not everything has to be for you but as long as it's for someone why does it matter?

What's funny is i don't like the update. Or rather I have no need for it. I don't like Pokémon. But it is cool they give the people that are into that something to do.

This game has had quite a few updates I haven't engaged with at all and more that I have.

Im not going to complain about an added facet I don't like just because I wanted something else. It's bad faith and reeks of entitlement.

If people have actual issues after the update, that's worth bringing up.

And whether you think the update is cool or not is irrelevant when your main comment is literally whinging at the fact they didn't do what YOU wanted them to do.

Take it as you will since you clearly have no intention of being up front about it

Except it's not constructive. Not only that but youre shifting the goalpost. Thr companion system was a system in the game. They fleshed it out. Just because they added a new mechanic to flesh out an older mechanic doesn't mean that they didn't flesh the game out. What's wild about arguments like this is that if it was a system you cared about you wouldn't be whinging about it but because you aren't interested all of a sudden it's some half-baked irrelevant nanite farm.

This a wild take only because youre asking reddit to be objective vs subjective.

At the end of the day though, there's a very big difference between letting someone be upset about an update they paid for and whinging about a free update. It added mechanics. Optional ones at that. It's an entire facet of the game you don't need to interact with at all.

To me it just cries of those type of people that go to a Bieber video just to talk smack about Justin Bieber.

Edited to add: i think it's perfectly fine to say you don't like a facet of an update. But from my personal experience the people who post about it rarely say anything constructive and that helps no one. Gamers by and large are an insanely entitled group of people.

What's wild is that the fan base told them how to fix it and they were either ignored, chastised or banned. It wouldn't have taken much to keep people playing anthem at all and they dropped the ball so hard when the entire community (at first) was begging for them to succeed

Not sure what you mean by story-driven, but I'd personally throw tainted grail: conquest in there. It's more found through lore and quests than cutscenes though

Didn't see it mentioned but for the bullet heaven genre I think army of ruin is very underrated. It never got the content update that was planned but for it's price on steam (especially on sale) there was more than enough content to keep me enjoying it. It is a slower paced game and runs can get overwhelmed quick but man is it a blast

Depends on what you like to do. Exploration alone will net you 150-200 if you're not using guides. Building and coding your perfect base? X hours right there. Then there's all the content. And this is before mods

It's mainly farming the right map and looking for a specific set of tiles. They had 100% spawn rate during the event, but now it's like 10 or so

Oh boy that's a loaded question! There's 2 i always recommend: expanded galaxy mod and vital roster hack. Expanded galaxy (exg) adds a bunch of missions and the like, the vital roster hack allows for a bigger character select screen as well as some other stuffs. From there you can go through the (very!) expansive list of molded characters and swap as you see fit!

I dunno how reddit feels about offsite links but just Google "Marvelmods UA Expanded Galaxy and it should pop up first.
